F...rs. keep calling, than hang up

We were qualifying for a mortgage in March of this year when one of the mortgage brokers we talked to said we had to deal with this debt. Apparently GTE Federal Credit Union sold our old truck loan to CSC in 2012, supposedly changing the date of our old debt. Bear in mind that the truck in question was repossessed in 2008, and the original debt is supposed to "fall off" the credit report after 7 years. Well, we've paid $200 per month since April--that's 6 months--and the only thing showing on the credit report is the original closed account.
Since we've bought our house, and my husband is retired on a fixed income, he just closed his bank account to deny them access to our limited funds. Why pay for a truck we haven't seen in over 6 years and that doesn't help the credit score?
Now they're calling every day, and we ignore their phone number.

Just got a call few minutes ago from this number and I answered with a 'Hello' but 1sec later they hung up.

They just called me, but no one was on the line or would talk to me. I added their number to my privacy manager feature of my phone service, after Googling the phone number. Anyone who asks you to verify your Social Security number or a credit card number (even if they have the last four numbers) is scamming you and hoping you will give them that information. They buy old debts and harass you thinking you will not know the statute of limitations on said debt. Or they are low life identity thieves trying to get personal information by attempting to intimidate you. Just hang up, or don't answer their calls. If you have an AT&T account see if you have privacy manager on it and dial *60 right after they call to add them to your list of rejected phone numbers.

Did you guys know if you are on the no call list in florida and you still get spam/scam calls, keep records and you can SUE for thousands, yup look it up, get some extra cash from giving these scammers a taste of their own medicine

These fools called my brother first. He gave them nothing. They then called me. Told me the company was csc or csv or something like that. I refused to identify myself and hung up....
