Traces back to Futons Etc. in San Diego. Bet someone has spoofed this number to hide their identity.  It has to be a scam

1/4/2013 1230. Google update listing, blah blah, press # to be removed press somethign else to do something else.

Automated message calls daily asking if we want to update a google listing?  We don't have one!  When I pressed "1" someone saying his name was Adam came on the line.  He hung up on me after I said I am not a business.  I want the calls to stop.

Same bullsh*t with the google listing crap. hang up as soon as you get it. Pressing anything to 'remove' yourself from the 'list' is just a good way for scammers to know that the number they dialed is an active number.

Answered the phone but no one was on the line and it hung up. Probably the same telemarketing/scam as previously reported.

We get multiple calls from this number every week for google listing crap...

Robocall to update Google listing.  Gee, you'd think after a few dozen calls and no business they'd drop your name off their stupid list, but no.

I pressed 1 to update my listing (HAH) and some fast talking D*ouchbag asked if I was the business owner.

Me: Nope.

That's OK, we'll call back later.

And I'm sure they will.  I was hoping to waste more of his time but it was not to be.

We all have to report Google to the "No Call List".  They are a public nuisance.  I have 25 or 30 numbers all saved for Google...just so I don't take their call when I am with a customer, or on the call with a customer.  Oftentimes when I put theri call to voicemail they will call me later the same day with an altogether new number.  At the very least they have a new number each week.

The lady who called offered to upgrade our Google listing for just $ 361.50 a year.....
I told her that it sure sounds like a bargain,  but unfortunately, this is not a business, but a private residence.
She promised she will update their files.

858-578-5745  Fake Google spoofed number scam phone call. "To update your Google listing, press 1. Press 1 now to update your Google listing. Press 1 now. Press 1. Press 1 now to update your Google listing. Otherwise, press 2 to be removed." If you press 2, it hangs up on you. Reporting the spoofed call to both Google and the FCC.

yet another "free" update to Google scam. Ignore, ignore, ignore. Don't press 2 to be taken off their list, by the way - it tells them they've reached a valid phone number, and the calls will INCREASE.
