I got one of these as well:  twice on voicemail; & saw once on my caller ID.  Sure hope no one falls for these scams!  If it sounds fishy, smells fish, it must be fishy!

I have been getting calls for a week now from this number, but it is not the number that appears on my caller ID on my phone. They don't reference a company name, and they call 4 or more times a day. And I love the little threat at the end of the message... "If I don't hear from you or your atty. of record, all I can say is goodluck and hope that nothing happens to you or your family".... that's some bull [***] and I think the government needs to stop allowing companies to sell phone numbers... Did you know every time you order pizza they sell your number to the higest bidder??

Since it is an international thing, you can go online and e-mail the FBI... they are the ones that have to handle the international phone scams...

these people are calling my job I have no idea why but they need to stop

same exact situation as the rest of you...Indian man named Bob Dale...I told him my husband and I are attornies to mail us the summons and complaint so we can pay the bill and he told me to s--- my husband's a--...LOL!!!! and hung up...now they are calling my relatives who are references for me...the number left to call back is 213-995-3052??????

Received the same kind of call last night 4/27/09 at home and at work with the same kind of garbage. It seems that since so many people are having the same kind of experience that someone in government would be taking steps to stop this nonsense. Just think of how many people would be intimidated by this kind of phone call for example the elderly, mentally impaired individuals etc.

calling every 5 minutes and leaving thretaning messages.
nice accent too, could barely understand.

I have been dealing with these people since March 30th.  They keep using different names and numbers.  They have all of my personal information.  I have filed two police reports, fraud alerts on bank accounts,fraud alerts on my ssn and fraud alerts on all three credit bureaus.  I also am filling out papers to  my attorney generals office. If anyone is victim like me please take my advice and start putting out alerts on everything. I have also changed my cell number and work number. he called me like 30 times in one day.  he wont stop unless he get what he wants from u. I was smart enought to go online from the very first day to look into this to find out if it was real or not and luckily i didnt give out any information.

Called number back , got a india guy named "charlie" and he could not put me through to "Mona Williams". He kept asking me who I was and stated that it was for a payday loan from California ( Fast Cash ). He stated that he was prosecuting me for not paying for a loan. I told him that he needed to stop calling me and that I did not know what he wanted but I did not owe a FastCash. He said that he was recording me and that he would see me in court..   I told him good luck with that.

I just received the exact call on my voicemail at work. So this is really a scam?

I got a phone call twice from a Kevin Peterson(he says).  He's a foreign guy saying I owed money for a pay loan.  I looked the company he say's he work for up on the bbb and they had so many complaints on them. Beware!!!!

got a call from jared king wanting to confirm some information about a court case?  WHAT?  Said that I didn't repay a payday loan... which I've never taken.  Also said he worked for american credit services but when I got hostile he hung up.  i called back and asked to speak to his supervisor and he said he was the boss, that he wasn't working in a call center and that they would just collect the money from my employer.  I'm going to follow the advice of some others and allert everyone about the fraud. call back number was 858-777-1977 but that was not on the caller id

Hello again.....I have been keeping up with all the additional posts regarding whatever his current name he's using now.....As I said in my post regarding the phone call from "Yuvie Cooper" on 04/17 on my voice mail at work.....I haven't heard back from him or anyone like him since I had my lawyer call him back......Once you hit him with the fact that you have a lawyer or even a paralegal it scares him and that Mona person off....also, beat him to the punch and say you are recording the conversation for the feds, the CIA, the immigration bureau....anyone that he thinks his going to come after him....tell him the call is being traced and their right outside his door....give him a taste of his own medicine and he'll back off.....this guy needs to get back what he's giving out....especially since he told one person he was going to kill both her and her family....that's an out and out threat to do bodily harm.  I wish all of you the best of luck....even though I haven't heard anything else from him, you know what they say about the quiet before the storm.  Don't cave in to him....fight back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SAme thing happen to me. Had me attorney call him and he told my attorney he was dead and that he did not exist. Same thing, I had to appear in court on Monday, and there were going to serve me papers on Monday at my place of work. Very heavy India accent. Do not trust these people.

I received a call today from an area code that is not of the US.  The # is 1028551013.  I finally answered and was talking to a indian about appearing in court about a law suite.  I asked what it would take to resolve the issue and the individual said about $6000.
I got upset and ended the call.  a few minutes later I got a call from a guy named Mike Dawson.  He said that he was a representitative of a law firm and that I am being sued by Fast Cash for a unpaid amt.  I thought this was odd and when he said that it was back in August of last year,  I did some research and found that I did not use a payday loan service then.
This individual was trying some strongarm tatics with the call, even left a message on my phone saying that I was being unseasonable and that I should be treated hostile.  I then called them back and asked for documentation about the law suite.  and Mike still was asking to talk to my lawyer.  I got upset again and ended the call.
I wasted my day being upset about this and my family having to go through this as well.  I wish there was a way to stop this type of scamming.  I am so tired of these type of people.  There are so many criminals out there using the internet for their own gain.

I did a little more research about this phone number -> 858-777-1977.  I found that it is in San Diago, Ca.  Closest Zip is 92121.  found also that the phone # latitude is 32.84 by Longitude of -117.22 ->  I google mapped this and found that it is in the San Clemente Canyon between two major highways.  Pretty smart for an indian to hide location here.  I would love to block his transmission from the switching station that handles his calls.

I keep recieveing these calls from a guy named Jack Black and they are very harrasing and harsh. I tried to obtain the name of the company that they were calling for but they refused to give it to me I have about 10 voicemails on my phone from these people I just want the calls to stop....
