This caller tried to convince me i owed money and was in litigation, scam

Calling asking for a name person  I don't  know called back as unidentified  number er

I have been getting calls from this phone # listed above on my cellphone multiple times a day. And Night.When I answer it's a recording telling me to call another #. Then I called and it is a recording.I have tried many times to "Block" this phone # but somehow even after blocking them from calling they still can call me.

scam- says a payday loan is owed, one has never been taken.

Received call several times from this number and ask me to call back, or press O to talk to operator. It says in message that they have a case against me and I need to contact them immediately. This is a scam and I am not playing along!
I wish we could block numbers but for some reason I cant seem to do that with this one.

Just received another call from same number. I answered and the guy who spoke to me told me I owed a payday loan since 2011 and that it was being deducted from my checking account and when I asked what bank, he told me the name of one that was not in my town in 2011. He said litigation has been filed against me and he was trying to work out a payment plan as I owed $3,000. This is nothing but a scam and I do not plan to answer this number anymore, no matter how many times they call. Its very annoying!!!

Call multiple times each day. Cannot block.  Have been calling for couple months. How do I stop it?

Stating I took out a payday loan in 2011. Looked in to Credit Karma stating that I do not have any delinquent accounts from 2011. The amount they stated wasn't even close to the one delinquent account I have. Scam.

They say I owe a payday loan to alpine aervices. I'VE never heard of them. THEY have all my info address,  email and banking info. What can I do? Said they have a lawsuit against me. That I need to take care of this immediately. .....I don't know what to do. ...

This is a well known criminal enterprise trying to scare you into paying.  First know that you have rights and that there are specific collection laws that must be followed, both Federal and State.  So the next thing you do is read the following, use the links to learn what you need to know to keep from being a victim of this crime, and while there, you report this outfit to the two agencies that will assist you.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
