A fund raising organization -  mine is a business line but they still keep calling

The man stated that  he, they was KY state Troopers shop with a cop program. Demand donations of reaching for the stars. Then transfer you to another person( a lady) that  tries hard to get your banking info or credit card info. They do know your names for some odd reason.

I've been getting calls the last two weeks. First, CID wouldn't display anything. Then today I couldn't stand it. I answered - nothing. This is a corporate line they're calling. Next, it said Private Number. I'd answer with the same Corporate greeting. Nothing. Fine. Block anything that says "Private Number". Now I get this one. This is in less than a 4-hour time span. Coincidence? Don't think so.

I got the same call.  He is very persistant in trying to get money from you.  If I am going to give to the State Police, I will send it to their Post in care of Donations.  If you look the number up it says from a landline, not Kentucky State Police. He starts out with $20.00 and if you say no, he goes to $12.00.  I told him no and then he dropped it to $10.00.  I told him again, NO!! He hung up.

This caller is from Faternal Order of Police or Kentucky State Police. They call  "and" call me by my first name. They "don't" know me!!  They want donations in the amount of $20.00 or more and if you say NO, they decrease it to $10.00. I have called the "Do Not Call List" and they still call.  I think they look through the phone book because I am Iisted. I am at a lost!!!

Don't give any info or money to this caller. They are not really affiliated with the FOP and any money you might give will only go into the scammer's pocket. They try to make their calls seem legitimate by trying to associate themselves with the police.

I am an FOP Member in the State of PA. Please dear readers be advised that the Fraternal Order of Police DOES NOT make Telephone Call type solicitations for financial donations. Some Chapters and Lodges in certain States may send you a postal mail envelope from the PBA or FOP asking for donations, however anyone who calls you on the telephone, claiming to be from the FOP and soliciting donations from the telephone is a fraud and they are trying to scam you for money. Hang up!
