Rang twice and hung up.

The guy on the other end of the line was polite enough.  I would not have answered if the caller ID said unavailale, but there was a number on there; so I picked it up.  The guy knew all about me, my wife's name, our address etc.  I told a sob story and escaped.  They keep calling back, now we don't answer!
I pay taxes for the police.  I respect and support law enforcement, but in these times any "extra" money is for MY Family.  Not some bloated profit-making beurocracy which gives ~10% to their intended recipients!

I just dont answer and if we all had caller ID  that would put them
 out of business dont you think?

Just tell them you have a relative that is a police officer and you know this is a scam!  Tell them YOUR relative says Connecticut police do NOT use professional fund raisers.

March 2008, Received calls from man with dominating manner and voice. Asked me to place a donation check on my front door. Then did not know my address. May have been looking for my address. Keeps calling back but does not leave a message.

I received a call from a woman claiming to be with the Police Association, and she wanted a donation to help keep kids off the street. I told her I give donations locally, and to organizations that I know.  She was very aggressive, and I ended up hanging up on her.  I looked the number up, and couldn't figure out who the company is.

I just sent a detailed report and complaint to the BBB regarding Brivia.

Brivia Communications, LLC (this was the name of the company that showed up on my caller ID) called my home land line. When I answered, a recorded message told me that my vehicle warrantee was almost expired and, because of this, I might owe on past damages. Of course, I was told to deal with this immediately or I could face "unknown" charges. I decided to stay on the line to find out what the solicitors wanted.

I spoke with an operator within a minute or so after being put on hold who demanded to know the make and model of my current vehicle. When I said that I wouldn't give any information regarding my assets or identity, the man on the line was irate, calling me "[***]" and "a typical white [***]." I asked to speak with his supervisor, and he disconnected the line.

I looked up this company on the Google search engine and found a number of complaints from other concerned citizens who wrote about similar incidents involving Brivia Communications, which also goes by the name MGR Solutions. Not only does this "firm" have aliases, they also have several other numbers, including the following:

732-962-9387, 310-402-5119, 860-269-8751, 888-660-4834, 408-907-9109, and 713-867-4947.

Brivia Communications is listed officially as a local and long distance telephone service, but according to people who have posted their grievances with this company online, Brivia also sells mortgages, car insurance, vehicle warranties, loans, etc.

According to one unidentified source, Brivia Communications and MGR Solutions have several addresses:

I'm not worried about people like myself getting annoying phone calls from fraudulent companies, but I am worried about vulnerable people falling prey to their extremely hostile, antagonistic and threatening sales tactics, none of which are remotely legal.

I would like to know what can be done about Brivia and if other complaints have been made to the BBB.

Don't give money to them very pushy and they are scam artists.

No message left on answering machine.  Whoever it is/was never says anything and doesn't answer when spoken to.

Keeps calling several times a week, won't leave amessage, told them to stop calling, keep calling anyway.

Isn't there a list you can get on to stop these types of calls?

Called about 7:45pm. I saw Unknown Name, but the number came up. Figured I'd answer it. The guy (kid) identified himself, said he was working for a non-profit organization for PAL (National Police Athletic League). He was very polite, I let him go through his spiel. I asked if there was a website where I could get more information and he promptly gave me: www.nationalpal.org. I told him that I would check it out and donate via the web. He tried, he really did, but the kicker was his line "If you donate over the phone, it's tax deductible, but deductible if you do it through the web". I asked how that could be, and he was honest and said "I don't know".

This is the first time I got called from them. I'll have to see if they try again.

Whoops the following "...it's tax deductible, but deductible..." should really read "...it's tax deductible, but NOT deductible..."

This is Brivia Comm LLC, calls for the past 2 days and no messages.  When I pick up the phone, they've hung up on me.  Maybe that's a good thing.  The number that shows is:  954-839-6933.

Have called and told me it was urgent to call them back. Didn't like the sounds of it. Didn't respond. I was afraid it was like one those calls I had heard about from the jail that somehow allows them to make calls on your number for free...anywhere. It happened to somone in my office.

3 to 4 times a day ...214 -269-5195,,,the say nothing... if you call back it says to enter "i" code....the company on caller id is Brivia Comm LLC....can anyone just use this service to play a joke? ...........please report!

they have called twice a day for the past three weeks and always at between 6 to 8 p.m. mst.
When I returned the call on a seperate line the female operator asked about my interist in A government grant. I ended the call by telling them I have no intrest in any grants and to remove my number from there call list.
We shall see what happens.

Brivia Comm LLC has been calling my land line for several weeks now sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. We never answer. My answering machine says message waiting but when  I check the only thing is a click when they hung up. Maybe they will get tired of not getting an answer & stop calling.
