- Jay| 1 replyCaller ID said "Member Services" but left no message. If it was a legitimate company needing to contact you, and you were indeed a member, they would have left a message.
- JR in Co| 1 replySame as Jay above, but my kids answered. Wanting to put in a security system if I will "just let them place a small sign" in my yard.
- Caller: "Member Services"
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Mike in TXI answered and immediately hung up.

- yc| 1 replyReceived a call and look up the caller ID. It was 860-791 6711. I have been getting a lot of spam and telemarketing call. Nowadays what I do is pick the phone up and just keep quiet plus no background noise, until the other side hanged up. So much so that they think the phone is a non service phone. After few times of doing that, I get less spam call nowadays. I think everyone should do that.
- Stan in TXCrooks looking to steal your identy posing as an alarm company. Only alarm you need is the one in your head telling you to hang up the phone or not answer in the first place.
- Caller: member services--crooks
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MD replies to ycIf you pick up the phone it shows as in service, so staying quiet doesn't work. Hook your number up with Google Voice and then you can block any incoming calls you don't want to hear from again.
- Bill| 1 replyWhoever this idiot is ..............called me, but I did not answer. They need to stop because I do not want unwanted calls at my house. It is "MY" phone for me to use when I need to reach anyone.
- CharlesThese scumbags call a lot. If you call back it has a recorded message "press 1 if you wish to be on our don;t call list". It is a fake too. They keep calling.
- Caller: Medic Alert
- Linda B| 1 replyNumber listed both as Member Services and Phone Bank System. HOW TO BLOCK CALLS: Your telephone provider will not tell you how to block unwanted calls because the callers also are customers. My service, COX, shows the caller's name and phone number on the tv screen.
I went to the manufacturer of my land-line telephone's website and clicked "Contact us" which connected me for an online chat. A representative needed the model number. He gave me step-by-step instructions on how to block calls showing "Unavailable" or with no telephone number. If it's a persistent telemarketer, I block the individual number. It's wonderful, it rings once and then the caller is cut off. I smile. - VashtiThey just called me. Didn't leave a message. Idiots.
- Caller: "Member Services"

- Fed UpJust received a call from this #. Robo call promising to reduce my non-existent student loan.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- nsFound on caller ID...I don't answer any calls that I don't know anymore.
- SamanthaThis is just another phone number used by one of the main culprits behind nuisance phone calls.
They change phone numbers as often as they think needed to try to fool the people they call and trick you into answering.
Don't answer calls from numbers you do not know, period.
These people are low life crooks who will eventually get what they deserve.
They can think they are hiding behind spoofed phone numbers, IP phones and so on, but they are not the only people who understand this stuff, and there are people working with utilities, government, and others to track them.
Don't answer and rest assured justice will be served, sooner or later, everyone gets caught.
May they rot in their jail cells eventually and have nightmares about the day they get caught until then.
Again do not answer calls from numbers you don't know and tell everyone you know, tell your mom, dad, dog, whatever. Spread the word about low life scammers.
Their scams only work if people aren't aware of them so please spread the word. - FunnyI laugh because these dirtbags think they are ringing my phones but I have computers intercepting every call. I just look at logs o my machine and see that they aren't even getting my phones to ring. F you scumbags.
- Dalek1963Second time in a week. I did listen to the message the first time.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- carolI am going to look up just what member services are.so far
- KevinI just got a call from this one. The ID said "Member Services". I got a voicemail about recent legislation being passed and if I could get a lower rate on my electric bill. I'm already signed up with a trusted third party and my bill. No thank you!
- Caller: Member Services
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Hal BairdCaller ID to the rescue once again. (It seems to work better than the federal "Do Not Call" list which apparently no one checks these days). Anyway my method of operation is if I don't know the number I don't pick up the phone. Like most telemarketers these people did not leave on message on voice mail.
- Caller: Unknwon
- RJWGot the call with a recorded message stating that recent legislation has been passed that may allow me to save money on my electricity bill. I pressed 5 to speak with a representative (because I'm a law librarian and I was curious what "recent legislation" they were talking about) - someone with an Indian accent named "Jeff Hardy" answered and said he was with some energy company. I asked him to repeat it and then spell it. I got disconnected after the third letter. I think he was trying to say Sperian Energy, which is a legit energy company, but which does not provide energy to my state. Yeah, no thanks. I'm not sure if it was an actual representative from this company or a scammer.
- not scamedjust received a call from this number also, 11/27/13. re: info on lowering my electric rates.they hung up after i asked questions
- Caller: member services
