Calls frequently. Talks as if a foreigner (to the United States).  Says only "Hi" and "Hey",  Really weird calls.
I would really like to find out who this illegitimate caller is.  Our area code is 303 so whoever it is is spending money for time and perhaps toll calling us.  I can't imagine what he is up to.

After some extensive research this is what a I concluded:  the calls originate from China which is approximately 12 hrs. ahead of our eastern standard time.

I am picturing a Chinese family at dinner time (after researching OUR area codes and prefixes), dialing away seeing who will answer.  Maybe a form of entertainment?  Maybe to try to practice their English?

My husband promised to hand the phone to me next time.  The only thing I can say in Chinese is "she she" or is it "shi shi"....."thank you".

The Chinese Telephone Code Plan is the way to group telephone numbers in the mainland of the People's Republic of China. Land lines and mobile phones follow different systems: land lines use area codes, while mobile phones do not.

For land line area codes, a "0" is typically added in front when dialing domestic long distance from within mainland China, but is never added when dialing from outside mainland China. Domestic phone numbers in large cities have 8 digits, and in other areas 7 digits and no less. Mobile phone numbers have 11 digits without area codes.

The Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau are not part of this numbering plan, and use the country codes 852 and 853, respectively. See Hong Kong telephone numbering plan and Macau telephone numbering plan.

In addition, Taiwan and several islands of Fujian are under the control of the Republic of China. The PRC numbering plan reserves space for Taiwan, but they are not currently used. caller ID showed 8613602553683.  

Would start a new thread for this # but 800Notes does not recognize the format.  Appears to originate from the same international area code as the OP above.  Prank call?  Would explain why they called at such an unholy time in the middle of the night.

None they texted me but obviously my phones lanauage text can't dislpay it!

Yep, we got a phone call from this number...861-390-6635 about 3:30 am EST last night.  Wife said someone on the other end could not or would not speak english. She hung up...just add us to the list!

It's a scam - you haven't won anything.  The message is from a thief who wants you to pay some bogus tax or fee to receive your winnings.  Don't waste your time calling those numbers.

Am also in Botswana and received that message on whatsapp what kind of prank are the pulling........? I don't believe it and didn't bother to reply
