Have been getting calls lately from phone numbers with my area code lately but always a different number. They are usually a "Jane" recorded voice asking if I'm interested in a free cruise. I've assumed it was a scam the whole time and always say no, but today I wanted to dig into this to see what would happen....so when "Jane" asked if I was interested, I said yes. I was then transferred to a real person who asked who I was going to take on the cruise, if I was ok to provide my own travel to FL for the port, etc. And within 4 minutes he was asking for my credit card information. He first asked if I have a major credit card, and I replied "No, but I have a minor credit card, will that work?" He said yes. Then he asked for the expiration date and I told him 2088, which he didn't believe (lol obviously) but I insisted that my credit card was valid until 2088, and then he asked for the first number on the card and when I said 0, he said "Ok whatever" and hung up. So, long story short, please don't fall for "free cruise" calls...they are ALWAYS a scam.
