theyve called me every day for the past forever.   saying to stay on the line or call this number.   they leave tons of messages.   if anyone is interested in pursuing them or ANY of the other creditors out there who are harassing us illegally, then please email me at swampedby800s@gmail.com

they have called me for years, and i am not the person who they are looking for.   ive finally found this site to seek out others like me to take action!

They keep calling my cell phone and looking for a guy named Richard.  They claim he owes them money.  I traced the call to a collection agency called Reports Inc. on Concord Street in Knoxville.

Caller (refused to identify herself) asked for my mother... I told the called that my mother has Alzheimer's Disease and that I handled her business. Caller asked if I had power of atty. I stated only a medical power of atty. They wanted me to fax that to them before they would talk to me about whatever the issue was... I told them that if they didn't identify themselves and state what they're business with my mother was that I could not comply with their request... They asked if I could verify the mailing address for my mother... I again stated that since they would not identify themselves or state what their business was, that I could not verify the address for my mother... I told them that I suspected that they were a collection agency and that my mother's income was protected from being attached and that I was sorry that they had purchased a bad debt from one of her creditors... I told them that they should be more cautious in the future about purchasing/acquiring debts from other creditors... Some of these debts just may not be collectible...

Research into the number 865-523-7183 through Google revealed that the number belonged to a collection agency titled Reports Inc.

If the calls continue, they will find out that I can indeed, be a very nasty individual...

Asked for my mother in law, told them she never lived at this number and this number never belonged to her, they needed to quit fishing and stop calling me.

I hope they don't mind me posting here since I didn't actually get a phone call. Still, what I want to add is applicable, anyway.

These guys are crooks, plain and simple. Their phone number is in Phoenix, but their address is in Knoxville, TN. I know because we got a letter from them today. I said "we" got a letter, because it came to my girlfriends apartment, with her last name, but my first and middle names, trying to collect for a medical facility that neither of us have ever been to. I don't live at her apartment, but actually in another city. I ended up here because it gave this phone number if I want to make an immediate payment. Yeah, right.

They're just a bunch of idiots fishing for suckers. If my situation doesn't prove it, nothing will.

I have only gotten one call from this number. They didnt leave a message and when I tried calling back to see who it was, they were closed. It was around 4pm. Strange company with weird office hours

Just got a call from them too.  No message.  Thing is, I don't owe anyone anything if that's why they're calling.  I have however, been shopping for a car.  Don't know if this is relative but it did make me curious.
Still no idea why they called me.  Not going to answer.

Got a call from this number also. No msg. left. I AM swamped on my cell from 800 numbers and a school system here looking for "Tracy Johnson"..sick of it. I don't have a kid in school! I'm NOT Tracy!

Received a call from this number (on caller ID) with a message to call someone at a different number. I found out that it's a collection agency looking for someone else.

I got a call this morning from this number. I was sitting right by the phone listening if they were going to leave a message. They didn't. However, this also might be corrolated to my credit being ran to see if I could co-sign on a loan.
Also, after that, I started getting mail from a collection agency (but it went to my neighbor's across the street), this is relevant because when my credit was run, the person running it put in a wrong letter on my address.
So ppl know this..if you've ever been able to avoid creditors, just know that you are like a blip on a radar screen, that creditors watch. And when you apply for ANY type of loan, you then show up on their radar screen. Point is, if you have managed to to elude certain creditors, if your credit is ever run, you BLEEP on their screen and they probably say, "GOTCHA!"

Years ago my hubby and I owed a doctor and these people reported to me that they were the "collection agency" said doctor used. They even had my amount & all I owed the doc & it was correct so I paid in full by sending them a money order(never pay bills with my checks) and the following month they tried again & again 3 months later, no I didn't pay the last 2 attempts. Then we went thru this all over again when we cancelled our cell phones & were slow in paying the cancellation fee. And this time it lasted a year that they contacted me. NOW YEARS LATER I'm getting calls from them again? With no outstanding bills in any form? Ugh

A collection agency - create a new contact number in your phone that says "Telemarketer" then hit decline every time they call. Problem solved.

I just got a call from them. And all the message said was to call Heather. The message didn't say what company she was calling from.

They called my place of employment today and left a message

They were calling me on my cell phone all the time. I got a new Apple iPhone and now I can block them from calling. I love my iPhone! :D

This number calls daily...ive blocked it once with a slightly diff number...i recieved a letter at my address ordering me to be at their knoxville office to answer why i will not accept calls...they want immediate payment on a bill that was long ago paid...the letter gave me 5 days to comply! It was not sent until after the 5 days (date to comply by was in the letter) was up. Only a contact name is ever given and they do not identify themself...

A phone call, email or text message from a supposed debt collector is not legally sufficient evidence of debt.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) includes statements such as this:

Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money.   ["Written" means snailmailed - US Mail ... not emailed or texted]

The letter should also state that the recipient has up to 30 days to respond.

Therefore, if that caller wants you to pay immediately, before you get the written validation notice via snailmail, or if the caller wants payment via Green Dot, MoneyGram, Western Union, prepaid gift card or other untraceable means, then the call is definitely not legitimate.

have been getting calls from them twice a day, finally picked up today with my line ¨city morgue, you tag it, we bag it" and haven't gotten one since.
