866-201-4977

Have received 3 calls over the last 10 days from this number on my cell phone.  I have not answered the calls, as I don't recognize the number.  The number is accompanied by the word: "United States".

I have received two calls today from the same number but when I answer the phone it immediately hangs up.
I am reluctant to call it back as some numbers are charged when you call them. Not sure if an 866 is one of those numbers or not but to keep getting calls from them and they hang up, well let's just say it is nothing I want so I will block this number from now on.

Best Egg - Company offering me a personal loan which I applied for, but declined based upon a mailing I received.  I asked the person to remove me from their call list and they said they would.  It was a follow-up call offering a lower interest rate than originally offered.  I had supplied my phone number during the application process.

Seems to be somewhat of a bait and switch when it comes to interest rates....

Fishing phone calls of an illegal nature

I received a call from this number last Thursday (4/02/15).  Caller left a short message indicating he was from Best Egg and wanted to confirm some information in my loan application and then left an alternate number for call back.  I have not applied for a loan with Best Egg so I was curious.  I called the alternate number today (4/06/2015) and informed them I was recording this conversation and that I had not requested a loan and wanted to know what records they had on me.  I would not confirm my social security number but they did indeed have my home address and other accurate details.  I explained that this was a fraudulent attempt to obtain a loan and that they should immediately close the request and provide copies of the loan application and communications to me via email.  I have contacted the local authorities and sent letters to each of the credit bureaus.

Despite the circumstances, I found the staff at Best Egg to be efficient and helpful in resolving this.

Someone calling about a loan we never applied for first they called and caller id gave the 866 number which i didnt answer. They immediately called back and the caller id came up not available and he left a message about the loan

Best egg - high interest loan

I got a call from a 520-231-5369 phone number. Didn't answer because I never answer calls I don't recognize. Turns out it was a person trying to say I have some legal matters that they are trying to resolve which are attached with my name and social. But, the number they said to call back was an 800-201-4977 with claim # 31928. Total BS as I do not owe anything to anybody! BLOCKED!!
