This number called and said they could give me a loan, and i had to send insurance money. i sent the money and they called wanting more money. i said no and to send my money back. when i call the number it says thank you goodbye. and i have no money back.

Yup you were scammed.  Bet you wired the money too, so it can't be traced.

Funny you were able to find this site but somehow failed to see that this scam is posted all over the internet and elsewhere on this site too.  Advance fee loans are illegal. You can report this to your local police for what it's worth, since you were the victim of a crime, but these guys are long gone. Another expensive lesson learned.
