This number didn't call me. I clicked on an ad in Facebook to see animals doing something cute. Instead I got to a page saying Microsoft has detected malware and it is going through all my financial data, email loins, credit card details right now. The page also repeated the message via audio and generated pop-up windows. They want to scare you into calling them. I reported the ad to FB and thought I'd document it here. They probably change their phone number frequently.

Went to Facebook, clicked link, got situation as described above.
They gave # 866 201-8999 to call, error cod 0x80072ee7, which actually relates to Microsoft Store.

same story as the previous blogger. kinda locked up my screen for a bit.

same as godzilla9 only audio message also said something about reporting me authorities if I turned my computer off because it said something about infected by a porn site. I called the number and they insisted that my computer was infected because I did not renew the Microsoft firewall or whatever it is and wanted to install for 200.00 I explained that I don't pay online like that and we talked for a couple minutes he finally hung up and I unplugged my computer. I don't know if he was really from Microsoft but I had unplugged my computer 2 times before I called and the same thing was on my computer don't know if  should try again or just buy new computer

Called said was going to turn me over to authorities if I didn't call them back. This happens last yr stating I owed a bank of mine 500.00 they got 400 of it and it was a scam. Reported yo my bank as fraud and was returned the 400.but thus again is happening. Its a scam number, also when bank tried calling them it was disconnected

This number is a SCAM!!! The number is listed as the LA COUNTY REGISTRAR office but it's just a cover up! Reported as a scam!! BEWare!
