Did they say what company it was with?

This is a scam. They said I had 3 payday loans that I defaulted on with 3 different companies. I never had any loans. They said their name is GLobal. I went to the sheriffs office with the information.

I just received a call from "Global" wanting the phone number of my cousin, which I did not give out. He said their was a claim against her. Asked how he got my number and he said I was a reference for her at one time. He wanted me to get ahold of her for her to call the company back!

This number called my family. Looking for me. Saying there is a claim. They are embarrassing me. I am a new graduated nurse. They are making me look unprofessional. They need to stop. I know I don't own money to anyone. It is very up setting because I haven't receive a letter to even say who I  owe.  Please help me stop these people.

What did sherif office have to say. I don't know what to do or where to go with these people

This call came through on cell phone #313-731-6749 and is being reported to the police.

These  people are calling me every hour seems like. They want  give any real information just saying I owe them payday loans. what pay day loan?....These ARE SCAMS!!!
 

I am being harrassed by this company called "Global".  Today, my son was called trying to locate me.  I called this place back and told them I did not have any payday loans and to cease and desist calling me or my family members.  I am reporting this place to the Better Business Bureau and the police!  SCAM!!!

The number (313) 731-6749 called my cell three times this morning. On the third call a voicemail was left. A man identified himself as Trey and said that he was trying to verify my address because there is a claim against me (#2025478). He went on to say that he has the legal option of verifying my address by using my references. He left an office number of (866) 204-2029. The caller did not leave a company name.

I looked both numbers up, and the 313 number seems to be a throwaway cellphone number.

Same thing.  Local number ( 916-774-2929) called my minor child's cell phone saying they were calling for (man's name) & if this was not this man to call an 866-204-2029 number back with reference #.  

Received a call from the same number regarding a case and they are also harassing looking for my ex husband. How would they even have my number. We don't even know who these people are and we have no loans or anything . Asked us to call the 866 number but called from a local number.

I just received a call from this number answering machine got it,  they called from a local number and left an 866 number to call. Said they were trying to locate a someone by a name that I'd never heard of and that the law allowed them to call their references.    
Its a total scam.

I get repeated calls and messages from a company called "Global" stating that I am in collections. They Call from a few different local numbers and leave this number. I have spoken with them a few times and each time they cannot give me any information regarding my debt and just want me to answer personal questions. They have now started calling random family members trying to get personal information about me from them. The only family they have spoken with have their phone number public.

Same here.  They called about locating my daughter, who happens to be very ill.  I called them back myself, and told them please do record this call, because I intend to report their number to the state Attorney General's Office.    

GR Global Debt Collection - said they were collecting on payday loans and credit cards.  I did not know any of the company names that they said I had a debt through.  They also called under 813-397-8568.  They are using the USB phone service to get different phone numbers to call from.  I asked them to not call my place of employment again and only contact me through the U.S. Postal service.  They asked for my home address.  If they were serving warrants - as they stated repeatedly - they would have my home address.  Illegal debt collection tactics.

I have been getting a call for the last several days three in a row, no message. When I called back it just said Global. Today on the third call they left a message telling me that my order was in their office and they had verified my address and employment but still need further information to verify. Since I have chosen to ignore all other notifications on this matter. I need to return her call. I have not a clue as to what she is talking about! I have no outstanding payday loans as talked about in other posts. I have received no letters with this company name listed on them at all.

I received a call today on my cell phone from what looked like a local number of 717-685-6284 and just like everyone else, they immediately say they want my address so they can send me information on my claim....when I asked what claim I was transferred to someone who wanted to confirm my "previous address" and when I told her I would not confirm or deny anything until I knew what this was regarding she told me I had to confirm an address and then she would tell me what this was about....I asked for a telephone number I could call her back at and she gave me 866-204-2029 for Global Recovery Group......I will NOT be calling them back and will be reporting this number to my local police department and BBB as a scam....

Asked for my address as they had a claim against me; wouldn't tell me anymore without the verification which I refused to give.  Said they weren't able to help me without verification and hung up.  They have called all of my children; my husband; my ex-father-in-law; and me.  This is insane and has been going on for two weeks.  On October 31, 2014, I returned their call at 4:15 pm - I was caller number 7 ...... 3 and 1/2 hours later I was caller number 2.  I hung up then.  Today, when I took their call and told them that I tried to call them back on Oct. 31, Ms. Valdez stated they closed at noon  that day .... interesting since their on-hold message never said that!!! Going to report to the local Police Department!!! SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM

they called my cell and desk with their 'claim' number, identified themself as the 'Tracing and Verification Department at Global'.  After reading these message, I'm not calling them back.  During the call he identified himself as David and called me by two different names so they clearly have their stuff together.
