Called daughter about sending lawsuit papers to both of us we don't even live in the same state

They called me threatening me with jail and lawsuit papers and wouldn't tell me who they were or why they were calling me. They also called my sister and told her she was going to be served right along with me and they had her personal info as well including her social security number. The lady I spoke with was very rude and kept yelling at me when I wouldn't tell her where I was right at that moment. They called me on the 30th of September as well as my sister and they started calling me again today. I have contacted a good friend of mine who is a lawyer and he has advised me not to give them any information and to let them know that my lawyer has been contacted. These threats are just scare tactics to try and get you to send them money.

My mom got a call from this number saying someone listed her as a point of contact and that they are looking for her friend's place of employment/residence.  We have no idea who the person is who the caller is calling about but they did have my mom's name correct.

You might want to look into call blocking device. There are a number of models available. Do some reasearch to find the one that fits your needs.

Received a voice mail addressing me by my full legal name, which I do not use, claiming I was listed as a reference on unspecified legal documents filed against someone I've never heard of. Told me to call back with a reference number that was provided. I did not call back.
