Calling the elderly and telling them that they have a large sum of money coming to them if they give their checking account number and pay a fee of 395.00. Company goes by several names including Protek Plus, Punchline Services and M.C. Marketing.

I HAVE GOTTEN A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER ABOUT REFUNDING MONEY THAT HAS BEEN STOLLEN FROM ME. AS OF 3/11/08 THIS " COMPANY" STOLE 395.00 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. WITH A CHECK # THAT IS NOT RECOGNIZABLE. IF AND WHEN I FIND OUT MORE INFO ON THIS SCAM I WILL UPDATE!

i have just recieved a call from this 866.204.4643 number and the man said his name is william anderson and that we had a fraud on our account and he had all our information. He said that it would cost us 395.00 out of the supposed fraud amount of 995.00 I didn't give him any information he already had our bank information I had advised him not to do anything I will ned to confirm with our bank of this information...Have you heard anything more about this...

This is a common fraud  that is called  Refund pitching. It is where they promise to refund a stolen amount of money for a fee. They are a scam. If you have been charged by this company it is very simple to get your money back. If you go to your bank and  tell them you did not authorize the charge and that you researched the company  and they have many similar complaints about how they called. Ask to file and affidavid of fraud to return the charge. By law you have a minimum of 30 days to report and return the charge. If you bank says otherwise they are misinformed.
