- AndreaAlso got a call from this number claiming it was Regarding my student loans and that new payment options were available due to recent changes. I Called back just for [***] and giggles-you’re allowed one of two props: if you would like to update payment options on your student loan is one, the other is responding that you don’t have any student loans. Clearly a scam.

- Yeah RightGot a voicemail from a blocked number telling me to call this number about student loans. Caller said she was from the "loan department" but didn't say who she worked for. I know who my loans are serviced by, so obviously a scam

- Einalem9891 replies to AnnaI just got the same message. But I checked my actual account on the official lender website that actually dispersed my loans and all of my loans are still in deferment because I'm still full time in grad school. So it's a phishing scam. They are fishing for you to give them information about you by pretending they can save you money on your student loans. It's a scam.
Any student loan lender would first email you from their official email or customer service email. Then if they do call you, they will clearly state your full name, the name of the lender company and they won't tell you they can save you money in anyway. Trust me, I have had student loans for over 3 years and I have never recieved a call from my lender. Only ever email correspondence. - AugIT245 Eastern time, "Brittany Hall" called about student loan (i've never had one) and would not provide any information when questioned. No doubt a scam.
