Capital management - debt collector - could be a scam

Pick up the phone and nobody is there get tired of it so don't bother to pick up any more

I got a phone call asking for someone that does not live here anymore and asking for her phone number. I do not know any of these persons.

Repeated calls, incredibly rude, refusing to stop calling when asked.  

Had a message from this number asking me to call them back regarding some other person and a case number. It is some kind of collection agency.

rec'd a call from this tel# and they asked for me and when I said "this is she" they hung up!  They can consider themselves BLOCKED.

They called my cell phone looking for my sister in law regarding a personal matter.  They wanted me to provide a phone number or a way to contact her.

I have rec'd numerous calls from this number.  Say they are Capital Management.

I have rec'd numerous calls from this number.  Say they are Capital Management.  They ask for me by name, when i tell them that's who they are speaking with, they ask me to verify personal information. I REFUSE to provide any information and inform the caller as such and hang up.  Told the caller today that i don't verify any information unless i'm the one making the call-and even then don't always verify-the caller today told me that they want to make sure they are speaking with the correct person.  I understand that, told her to have a good day and hung up.  Next time i will ask for them to send in writing what the call is in regards to.

I've had the same thing happen to me twice in regards to my sister. They called my fiance phone first and no longer then 10 seconds later they called my phone.

They left a message saying they are a debt collector, Capital mgmt, but don't say who they are looking for.  Don't think this is legit.

Well if they truly are debt collectors, they should know that the FDCPA prohibits them from even disclosing the call is in reference to a debt to anyone other than the consumer they are seeking. Leaving a message on an answering machine where someone other than the intended party can hear it violates that aspect of the law.

Asked for someone.  I advised didn't know who that was.  They asked for the person's phone.  Told them I don't know them and they politely hung up.  Making note just  in case they call back

These are the kind of seedy debt collectors who call your friends and neighbors a hundred times and call you day and night to try to intimidate you into paying something just to get them to leave you alone. They don't adhere to any of the laws. Do not pay them anything or they will come back for more.

Voicemail from this number "Capital Management Services" asking us to call 877-335-3557 and said "this is a debt collector." We have NO outstanding debt, so this is a scam.

A man by the name of Larry Dare called me with a reference number, stating the call was in regards to my mother & asking me to call him at 877-335-3557.  I called my mother, she had no clue who he was.  This is definitely just a debt collector scam.  I blocked the number from my phone & sent a complaint to the BBB.

Asking for me and my mothers personal information.  When asked who they are, what company they represent, and what reason they have for wanting my family's personal info.....they intentionally decline to answer.  Scamming scumbags.
