Said his name was Levi Goodman and that I needed to call back about a claim and that a final decision would be made tonight. Said that I had been given plenty of notice yet this is first time he has ever called. What a load of crap

Received a phone call at my employment stating that I need to call by the end of business today to give my statement about this situation or a judgement will be filed without my participation. I have no idea who they are or what this is about. He tried to sound very aggressive and adamant that I call back. He stated that I have been warned... Ok, whatever.

Got a voicemail today. It started with a robot call voice of my husband's name and then a man said he was Levi Goodman with the offices of Unified and today is your final notice. A decision will be made by close of business today pertaining your claim which means you do need to contact the office to place a statement on file pertaining your intent. Failure.to do so will result in an immediate decision of this claim. You have been properly notified and given due time to communicate. You need to contact the office today. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.". He never gives a claim or reference number and never says what the claim is about, who it us from, how much it is or anything. This is the first call I've received like this. Definitely a scam. I've had calls like this from 3 numbers since Hurricane Harvey devastated my city. Nice. Kick us when we're down. I call bs.

Second time this year. Got another message from Rob Curry. Was given the number to call. Said it was pertaining to a card in collections. While it is past due there were red flags. Said Citibank is using them to collect but that Citibank still own the account. Called Citibank and they charged it off and no longer own it. Lie one. They said Rob would be there at 130. Told them I wasn't home so they said they'd come to my work only to reference where my wife works. She isn't even on the account. So now I'm getting P.O'd. Claimed Citibank was going to sue me. Ok, one they don't own the account and two, it's for 300 bucks which I'm in the process of taking care of with the place that owns it. Supposedly they are coming tomorrow. So I went to the police station and filed a report. Officer said even though they are referencing a debt I owe, it still sounds like a scam and if anyone shows up to call them or if anyone comes to my wife's work to contact the police in the city she works. I noticed a few Ohio people. I'm curious where you guys are from. If most are from Ohio, seems like this is a more local scam.

Got the same call as everyone else - same info, same names, same return call #.  They have also called my parents CELL phones and my out of state office.  Said they would be here by 12:30 today and I had to have an ID ready to go.  My address was correct, which is extremely unsettling as I work from home and am alone - certainly don't want a stranger showing up mid day.  I have contacted the local police, but they "can not do anything unless he actually shows up".

Caller is calling a friend, saying i have a claim against me. When I returned the call they said it was legal and I was being sued for 1900.00 payday loan. They refused to give me their address and hung up on me. They have phoned my work and said they are serving me, never show.

I just received a call from this number.  A phone message system said I had a claim and to press 6 if I wanted to know about the claim.  I hung up. I was called by this number months ago and they threatened to have the sheriffs deliver legal documents to my door if I didn't go the courthouse and pay a fine.  They said they worked for an attorney in San Diego. I called the attorney and they said they had no one by the name he gave, I turned him in to legal actions.

The call was made to my elderly moms house phone , Ashley Williams said all the same as the comments, I read from everyone, , I haven’t lived at the address they were supposed to come to in 3 years , this is a scam , 2 years ago they scared the crap out of me while at work and had a lot of personal information, they got 300 that day , a different organization but the same scam , lesson learned , do your research, google them , do a reverse phone lookup, you will find everything you want to know just like I did here , for the record ??? I wish they were brave enough to find me

I received a phone call from a man, he identified himself as a "special carrier" Michael Hobart. He said he had legal documents to deliver to me and he'd see me soon. He gave me a "docket number" 216-3200 and left the call back number 866-204-6855. I called the number and a woman answered and said she was from Unified Account Solutions and asked for the docket number. I hung up the phone. I have never received any legal documents from any court referring to this company, docket number or individual. He read off my P.O. Box number and said he was going to deliver the legal documents to my P.O. Box. Hope he has a good time doing that.

Just got a call from an UNKNOWN number claiming to be someone named Jessica Dixon who was on her way to serve me “sealed papers” and warned be to “have ID ready”. The return photo number she left, just in case I wasn’t going to be available, was this number and after calling the number no less than ten times have never gotten any human to answer and none of the recordings state what the company is.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a  violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.)  The same goes for endless telephone harassment

Note that the US Supreme Court in the Case of HENSON ET AL. v. SANTANDER CONSUMER USA INC., has recently ruled that the provisions of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act do not apply if the creditor owns the debt in question.  As a practical matter this probably won't effect the kinds of scam debt collectors who often show up on 800notes.  The scam collectors don't give you any information about themselves so it is impossible to know whether or not they in fact "own" the debt in question.  Most do not send debt validation letters and many often say they are collecting for someone else.  So, make the complaint anyway if they are bothering you.  Let the FTC sort it out.

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.
