Got a call and they left a message - have no idea why they called me (also, my name is not Christoper).  Here's the message they left:

Christoper, hi my name is Jeff Stell, private courier in the area - calling in regards to sealed documents slated for delivery.  Gonna be coming out to [redacted] Drive Apt 264.  You need to be available there with state-issued identification to sign off on the documents.  Now I'll be heading out in about in about an hour, so if you have any questions or would like to reschedule, you gotta contact the filing office before I arrive.  Their telephone number is 866-204-8651.

I got the same call and they are even calling me and my husband's family.

Hank Ward contacted my brother.  Said he was with Harris County and did not want me to miss a court date.  He had my address and middle name.  Said he left notices on my front door, which I have never seen.  Told my brother I had put him down as a second contact.  I know of no issues I have with Harris County.

People, this is a scam that's been around for ages.  First of all, don't answer numbers you don't know and secondly, no one is coming to get you.  REAL process servers do NOT let you know ahead of time!  It's all bunk just to scare you. IGNORE and REPORT.

No, this is a well known "process server" scam.

I just received the same call saying same thing just with my name. This is a scam right?

I just got a call from this number also a man named Jeff Steel. Said he was bringing a final notice of sealed documents and to be available with state ID. At the end he stated I have been served and In sewed. He was going to an address I havent lived at in going on three years. I have no idea what I could possibly being sewed for.

I got a call this morning from a robotic femal voice talking about some files she had receivedthis morning about me not responding to some kind of complaint. Sounds fake.

They have been calling my cousins phone looking for my deceased parents. When I call them back they hang up on me or give me the run around. When I asked them if it was a scam, they got offended and told me my parents were being sued. This is a scam.

I received the same exact message above.

I having stay at my address 10 years. Coming tomorrow to the address.

A female named Erica has been calling my number, asking for someone else (on voicemail, as I won't answer unknown numbers) and making menacing comments. If possible, please send me info on the origin of these calls and/or Erica. I have something to "deliver" to them/her.

Same here! They've called me, my dad and step-mom. Our cells are similar and we have the same last name. My dad answered but the female caller wouldn't give any info.
