- Yoda1725 replies to dereck| 4 repliesHi "dereck"
If as you say "im glad they called me they really help me.." Then, you should have no problem in providing the company name, and their legally verifiable address. I realize that you probably don't understand some of the words I'm using, but, you can look them up online.
It appears that you are illiterate. Has being illiterate prevented you from finding a legitimate job, and now you are here shilling for a criminal enterprise? No one here believes a thing that you have said, and we are laughing at you. - DeeThe number that called me was actually a cell phone but they gave me this number to call saying it was their litigation department. They wanted information on my son concerning fraud allegations. When I asked who was trying to file fraud charges on my son she refused to answer me. Wouldnt give me any info.
- Fia replies to SaritaThey did the same to my mother..when she asked questions they got mad & hung up on her...when she asked for an address they told her that theu do not give out there address.
- Me replies to Yoda1725| 3 repliesCalled me too...I asked for their address & information regarding why they were contacting me. When she told me that they do not give out the address I became suspicious. I then gave them my address & told them to send to me in writing whatever they were contacting me about. Their representative became very disrespectful & told me they dont have to send anything out to me & hung up on me.. a few days later there was another phone call. This time the person stated that they worked for the state & that I would need to contact the company before they filed fraud charges against me.
- Tygerkat replies to Me| 2 repliesYou should NEVER give some random caller your address! If they have a legitimate debt to collect, they already have your address and, as required by law, will mail you a Validation of Debt. This is sent through the USPS ONLY (faxes, emails, texts, and phone calls aren't acceptable) and it must state when you incurred the debt, who you owe the original debt to, and how to proceed if you disagree with the VOD.
By law, the VOD must be sent within 5 days of the first time the company attempts to contact you. If they claim they cannot send this, already sent this, or you will receive the information after you pay them, you know it's a scam. - Me replies to Tygerkat| 1 replyThank You. Do u have any more useful information? This is becoming quite a headache for me. They called quite a few relatives of my ex husband. They even threatened to show up at my job & to file fruad charges against me.
- Tygerkat replies to MeBlock their number. Let everyone they've called know this is a scam & to also block their number. You might also want to let your job know about this, too, in case they receive calls.
