Dell collection svcs

This number calls me about 10 times a day and they start at 8 am.  I picked up a couple of times but its some automated service.  I owe about $27 and instead of sending a letter they simply harass me.  If I had the stinking $27 I would pay it!  They are just going to have to wait until I get paid.  
I hate this company.  They even call on the weekends.  I am never buying a dell anything.  I had trouble since I ordered this stupid laptop and I was advised by friends not to buy dell but I didn't listen so I guess I'm getting what I deserve.

Dell keeps calling even after you have made your payment!

These people are HORRIBLE. Even after my sister made a debt settlement offer and paid them off last year, they continued to call, claiming no such settlement had been made. It was only after she threatened to file a complaint against them with our State's AG office if they didn't honor their original agreement that they finally stopped calling.

I get a call about 5 times a day everyday.  My bill is 5 days late, and I've been getting the phone call for at least 8 or 9 days! They started calling before I was even late!!!  My personal bank account had fraudulant charges, so until that's taken care of I can't pay the bill.  I've talked to a Dell representative, but they say there's nothing they can do no matter the situation.  My bank even offered to send the necessary information and they still refused!  Very frustrating.

I constantly get calls from these Dell people starting and 8:00 a.m. and even when you have already made payment arrangements they still continue to call.  It's always somebody that sounds like they are from New Dehli (a guy Ralph, yeah right) and it really annoys me that it's hard to understand their broken English!!!  If I ever hit the lotto these are the first people I am paying off and I am NEVER buying another Dell product again!!!

A debt collector calling 20 times a day is HARASSMENT, according to the FDCPA:

§ 806.  Harassment or abuse  [15 USC 1692d]

A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt. Without limiting the general application of the foregoing, the following conduct is a violation of this section:

(5) Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number.

Don't erase those calls from your CID! File a complaint against them with the FTC:

MOUSE -- FYI, FDCPA only applies to 3rd party collection agencies. Since Dell does it's own in-house collections, the FDPCA rules don't normally apply.  However, you can send a certified letter /w return reciept to DFS with a courtesy copy to your state AG requesting that all correspondence regarding the disposition of your account be done in wiriting via us mail.  Depending on your state laws regarding harrassing phone calls, you may be able to stop them from calling your home, mobile, and work numbers about your Dell account.

I get the same calls 20x a day for $83 dollars that is 10 days past due, non stop from 8 in the morning till 9 at night and even on weekends. This is total harrassment. I have bought 3 computers from them, if I had of know the harrassment i would receive for being late I never would have bought one, and you are correct even if you pay your bill the calls do not stop , it is 24/7

DFS starts calling early and it doesn't stop until late in the evening! I just about had it with this compnay! I know that I have a late payment, I don't need to be reminded every hour of everyday!

When I am two days late, the calls starts.  As someone mention above, WE know we are late.  STOP HARRASSING US, WHEN WE GET THE MONEY WE WILL PAY.  My calls too starts at 8:00 am and do not stop until about 10:00. I realized after I purchase THIS JUNK OF A COMPUTER, that I will NEVER, NEVER, buy another (I should have stayed with HP).  Furthermore, I purchased a 5 year warranty, for them to troubleshoot my problem over the phone.  I PURCHASE IN HOME SERVICE, BUT have to sit with someover over the phone.  DELL, when I pay you off, I WILL NEVER BUY YOUR JUNK COMPUTERS AGAIN.

Dell will call me from 8am-6pm about 5-10 times a day. I've been late on two payments that weren't even 4 days past due. Horrible company.

These people call constantly, day after day and from 8am till 10pm around one call per hour. I would say that this is complete harassment and should not be allowed to happen. Even if you are a customer in good standing with them and have been a customer for years and you are a few days late on one payment it starts and doesn't stop until days after you make the payment to them, even using the site they have provided for making the payment through. As for myself like many others I will NEVER buy another product from this company again. This is no way to do business with people. Maybe all of the people here getting these calls should start calling the head office at Dell and call them over and over and see how they like being harassed, I'm sure they would take action against our calls don't you think!

I called them back and they said "Thanks for calling Dell. Unfortunately, the department that you are trying to reach is not available."

I had them call twice before 9:30 am and then when I made the payment that same day at like 10 am they called twice after that in the morning!

Think about this I paid my entire balance off but $6 and they have been calling me for several months now. I finally called them back and my balance is like $150 I told them that they can take me to court for it. Never heard from them again.


Another alternative is tell them that they have the wrong number that you just got that number. ;)

I am receiving call after call, my payment was one day late, and has been made on thier online site.  I wish they would have a better system...obviously they do not know that payment was made and if they do, well thats just rude.  If was not for me Googleing the number I would not even know who is calling...they dont leave messages.
