He does not say I owe a debt. He says it is a legal matter.

I can't take a picture of caller ID because he does not call me. My wife tells me it is a legal matter and he does not specify what the legal matter is about.

Its coming, and if they ask for a greendot card or similar untraceable payment to stop this "legal matter", run, do not walk away!

Believe me, he's going to say it's a debt.  And he'll say that  if you pay him x-amount of money, he'll tell you that the whole thing will miraculously go away.   He will want the payment made by some untraceable means.

Oh, he will - he's just "softening" you up - continuing to call and harass your family member  - illegal - disclosing the alleged reason for his call as a "legal matter" to third parties - illegal.  Thing is, these losers call and harass people via friends, relatives, even work colleagues in order to put pressure on the intended victim - you - to pay money to make them go away.  Which, if you do pay, you'll receive even more calls from them and other scammers.  Paying money you don't owe - to a scammer, no less - just paints a big bullseye target on your back.

Called me about a summons for a suposed neighbor.  Do not know who or what this company is talking about.

Total scam!!! Got a call from this number saying I hadnt paid a payday loan, which i had, and he gave me all my personal info...scary as hell!!! Checked court records and credit report...nothing!!!!! Called back to ask more info about the company and he got really nasty with me and hung up when i mentioned a scam...his name was supposedly James Matthis and said the company name is RH Group out of Seattle. BEWARE!!!!!!!

This happened to me yesterday. This scammer called three people I know trying to find me. The guy told my aunt that I had to take a drug test for a court case. I was furious. I called the number 1-866-207-1967. They said I had a summons, wouldn't say who it was from. I hung up. I then received three more calls, I didn't answer, with three voice mails threatening to put me in jail. I cant believe this. I really hope someone stops these idiots before they scam a lot of people out of hard earned money.

Called people not even related to me but who know me- have NO CLUE how they got their numbers- said I had missed a court date- of course they are all freaked out- called the number back from my work 800# and it went to a generic VM - leave your name, case number, etc. Interesting that the supposed account number had the last four of my SSN - reported and posted on FB to warn others!

This number is calling my neighbors telling them I have to be in court but when I call the number I am told to leave a voice message with my name an number ...   What is this

Oh my god! They've been calling my neighbors all day today too!! WTH?? This man Clayton Thomas is threatening to serve us if we don't pay out to the so called plantiff yet he WILL NOT tell us who we supposedly owe this debt to. I'm calling channel 5 & 13 news 1st thing in the morning as well as my neighborhood police substation to report this scam. This creep was yelling at my elderly neighbor that she needed to get us over to speak to him on her house phone right now & other intimidation tactics. She was so upset when she came & told me what happened. The whole thing was caught on her Answering machine to by chance cuz she answered just as it picked up & recorded. I'm glad I have it for proof though. He mentioned Bank of America as being linked to my plantiff which is funny since I bank with BoA & they've never been owed money by me. Our poor neighbors!! I thought it was just me. I'm in shock to find this!! Scammers & B.S.

It's called a "block party" - where debt scammers will call and harass friends, neighbors, work colleagues and even your family, in an attempt to put pressure on people to pay some bogus debt, a debt that's already been paid off, or even a debt that is owed - but not to the caller.

The jerks called me at work, pretending to be a "server". Then scammed me about a Debt I paid 3 yrs. ago.  

I received a call from Steve mazurek on behalf of the plaintiff and I was being served for two fraud cases. Then people I haven't spoken to in years start calling me about someone looking for me. Obviously I was slightly embarrassed but I knew right away it was a scam. I watch enough law and order to know better. But curiously, two days prior to the obnoxious onset of restricted phone calls, someone attempted to hack into my email. And that particular attempt happened after I received my iPad and created an icloud id. The only family and friends that were contacted by this moron had iphones. There is the connection and only connection. I immediately changed password to every important website.

I received a call on my cell phone from "Private Number" (1-866-207-1967).  ReAnn left a message stating she was calling for my sister.  I called her back and she stated this was a "litigation" matter and could not discuss further with me.  I asked how she got my private cell number and said I was listed as a family member.  I contacted my sister and was told she had dealt with these scammers a few years ago and to just ignore it.

This place is nothing but a bunch of crooks!  If you get a call from a blocked number threatening legal action against you telling you to call 866-207-1967 call the number and request a verification letter.  Legally they must provide you with a verification letter which this company will not.  They will threaten you with criminal prosecution which is illegal for them to do and they have no control over that is only up to your local DA.

I repeatedly get phone calls from some guy named Clayton Thomas from some debt consolidation company that I do not know he mentioned some woman's name that I do not know and it's being very harassing maybe the person have my number before but I don't know this person I would like this to stop

left a recorded message Robert Williams from CRA.  when you call back they take your phone number and your name (if you are foolish enough to give them the real information). Then they go onto say people from Canada are being audited from 2012-2015 you are being charged for 4 counts of fraud.  Then if you attempt to ask what counts they go on to tell you if you don't pay half right away you will be detained in prison for fraud for 4 days.  In the background; it is clearly a call centre.  CRA guidelines: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/nwsrm/lrts/2015/l150610-eng.html
