- vanessa023| 7 repliesno idea who these people are. have a feeling its for a mastercard? has anyone else recieved a call from this number
- Caller: Unknown
- Call type: Debt collector
- Smernell replies to vanessa023| 1 replyyes... I called the business line of PC Mastercard to inquire about this and they have no such number on record. THIS IS A FRAUDULENT NUMBER!
- AnnoyedGot a call from this number the last few days. I was late making a payment on my Mastercard, so it could be the collection department with the credit card. Except the payment has already gone through, and they are still calling. PC Mastercard has no record of this number as being one of theirs. When in doubt, call the number on the back of your card, 866-246-7262
- caresame scenario - they called and left a message. I called back, and they said they coulnd't find me in their system, made me give them my card number etc...
I then called the number at the back of my card and they said that number does not exist in their system and cancelled my credit card. BE CAREFUL!! - beagleReceived an automated voice call on November 19 and 20 early in the morning from this number. It identified itself as PC Mastercard and sounded very official. It gave my full name and then asked me to verify this by pressing the #1. It then asked for the last 4 digits of my card number and then if I did not have my card and needed to get it the call would remain open for 2 minutes to give me time. I hung up.
Why would it need the last 4 digits of my card when it was PC calling in the first place? I called PC Mastercard and they knew no reason for me to get the call. I believe it is a scam but I need to have this verified so I'm waiting to hear from PC.
I recently had a new replacement card sent to me through the mail and figured it had something to do with that. I thought it might be PC calling to make sure I received the card but the guy I spoke with at PC said they do not do that.
It would not surprise me if I had given the last 4 digits of my card that the next questions would have been my birthdate, address and eventually the code digits on the back of the card. Once the scammers have this they can pretty much use the card.
I think if I get the call again I am going to give 4 fictious last 4 digits and fictious info and see what happens. - beagle| 1 replyThe number was recently verified and was a legitimate number made from PC. It was their collections department. After speaking with them they realized that that an error was made on their side and that payments have been always been made on time. The calls will stop.
- Pc card replies to beagleNo, you are wrong. It is a phising tool used to steal your credit information. If you followed the steps and gave your info, you need to call Pc cs and cancel immediately. U have been warned.
- PC card holderDefinately a SCAM. Never give your info to a "bank" that calls you. I checked with the credit card company, and it was not them calling.
- 1-866-212-4318had 8 calls from them, the last one I entered 4 random numbers, after 3 attempts it went to a live agent. She said she was from President's Choice master card, I asked her to repeat it and asked her two different ways who she was representing. Each time she said PC master card. I told she was lying as I had called MasterCard and had no knowledge of this phone number or any reason to call me. She hung up.
MasterCard is now passing this info onto there security dept.
Remember to never give information out, they called you, they should know all your details. If they cant give you the reason why they are calling you with first you confirming information then that is there loss, If it's so important to tell me the information then mail it to me. I NEVER GIVE ANYONE INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE, unless i have called them and know who im calling.- Caller: PC MAstercard (phising )
- Taylor replies to vanessa023They have called my house pretty early in the morning for the past 3 days. It is getting quite annoying and if it is RBC i have had enough trouble with them so i am about to switch to a new bank. How long did they keep calling you?
- TraceyScam!
I just called my bank - they never left that message for me. And the phone number is not one of theirs!!!!!!!
DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER !!!!
Only call the number on the back of your card or on their webpage.- Caller: scam!!
- JeremyI called this number and they said it was accounts receivable. I called PC Mastercard at their main number 1-866-246-PCMC (7262) listed on their website, and they said they had indeed called me from accounts receivable. So it seems legit to me, but I would still never give them my info, always just call back on the number you know.
- Willthis number called me a few times in the last few days stating it's important to call.
stating it's from PC Mastercard, but does not match the official number.
first time i picked up, a recorded message asked me to input my card# and PIN, no way, why my PIN??
then they left voicemail, also in a machine voice, to call back.
when i called back, i was put on hold then hung up on.
then i get calls from them again, i've been ignoring.
i talked to PCF and reported this, my account is fine.- Caller: Fake PC Mastercard
- DIThey keep leaving harrassing phone calls, I have nothing to do with them.
- Frick156I received a call prompting me to call this number, saying they were PC Mastercard. I found this site after Googling the number. I, also, called PC Financial (using number on back of card) reporting this. The rep I spoke to had not clue, but reviewed my last few transactions with me and offered a new card.
I'm a Sony PSN customer, and as this is my first phishing attempt (yay me), I am assuming that was the vector...
scum-rotten s.o.b's....- Caller: Phisher
- so annoyingi hate these people already i get up to 4 phone calls a day starting at 8 in the moring and going to 9 in the evening! will they ever stop! I already called the number back once and told the guy on the other end that i knew it was a scam and I was going to make an rcmp report and he replied that apparently i was full of crap and that they of course weren't a scam and he would get his supervisor to tell me that.....umm excuse me but if your a scam im sure your "supervisor" is in on it too......they use to call me at a different number 888-845-4741 but i kept reporting that number so now they call with this one...its definitely a scam people!
