- Luther Williams replies to BIlly A| 1 replyNo, they are not a "collection law firm". They are neither a law firm which would have to legally have an actual attorney working in it nor are they a legitimate business let alone a legitimate collection agency. No doubt you are one of the scum that works for them as your IQ which is in the negative figures is showing. I see that BigA has repeatedly posted information on your criminal organization: https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-855-816-8637#p1366199512652809330

- CharMy 19 year old son, who lives 800 miles from me, called me earlier to tell me he got a call from this number looking for me. Someone named "Thomas" said that I had a civil complaint filed against me, they needed to deliver papers and said to call back, ask for the Pond Dept and give them my case #. First of all, there is no reason for me to have a civil suit because a) I am not a criminal and b) I pay my bills. Second of all, WTF is a Pond Dept??!? Third of all, if this was a legitimate collection, they would have left a return phone number. Fourth of all, if they have the means to track down the cell number to my 19 year old son, they should have had the means to track down MY number. I hate scammers. They are all going to hell!!

- TaiThis number (866) 217-9277 JUST called me and said that they had a letter that needed to be delivered to me about a civil matter! WTH? I said “What civil matter?” He man said “ If I tell you that or who has filed this, I could lose my job.” Like really dude. The man also told me that if I called the paralegal dept upstairs they could tell me what I needed to know BUT he needed to verify my address first. I said “No!” If you can’t give me any information then I can’t give you any information. The names that were given as paralegals to talk to were Edward Logan and Scott Kellerman. One lives in Massachusetts and the other is just an average Joe and one is an actor.🤦🏼♀️
- Hollyi also received a call from the "Johnson smith associates" they said they have a letter to deliver to me and I need to be home to sign for it. I'm not calling them back. If they have my number then they already have my address. I haven't moved in 20 yrs

- Holly replies to BIlly Adebt collector is right but tourney a "law firm"
Just spoke to the police department and reported you. This is a straight SCAM! - Britt AI had some old credit card debt that Johnson, Smith & Associates bought up, nothing huge. They were merciless in calling day and night. I got served court papers back in February of 2018 - they sued me for $1000, wasted money on an attorney to do it, too lol. Watch your backs, because it's legal for them to get a judgement against you, and you'll never know it (luckily, I did). If they are threatening to sue you in court, and they do not INTEND to sue you, get a lawyer asap. In my case, I VOLUNTARILY called THEM and settled I think two other cc accounts, on my own. SO them suing me was ridiculous. I explained that our pay went down for a time, and we couldn't make our payments, but are fixing things!
Companies like this research addresses, and will send something to an old address knowing it won't get to you. Anyway, I paid off my court-appointed payment schedule months ago, and just yesterday 3/19/2019 I got a letter from Midland in the mail for around $233 to pay off an old credit card. I made arrangements to pay 6 payments of $38 to settle this. Long story short, turns out it was MORE MONEY they added to the already-paid court case from 2018! I googled information on debt collections, and sure enough have seen many reports that they are adding money to people's accounts. I think they threaten you with the court paperwork, because they said "there's a judgement against you in court"... So they know you'll pay it!
I'm gathering all my bank statements, etc and going to fight these people. They are out of Massachusetts . It's not fair, and they need to stop. Make sure you log on to their website and screenshot everything they have on you, all your payments, etc. EVERYTHING! Keep detailed records, phone calls (get names, although we know it's not "real" names), times etc. Document everything! And KNOW YOUR RIGHTS when it comes to these debt collectors. Midland doesn't play around, and they WILL get a judgement if they can.- Caller: Johnson, Smith & Associates
