Just got a cal from this number saying they were from Microsoft Windows and that my computer had been compromised and would be unusable soon. Anyone else get this call?

The just called me - robo call.  It has to be a scam.

This is a real scary scam.  I've received the same call several times and have received the same threatening message on my computer, telling me specifically not to turn the computer off.  That is exactly what I do and the problem disappears.

Yes they call my phone at least 3 times a day- this is very very irritating and I thank those of u who answered it- I do not understand why we cannot get these scams eliminated... caller ID is a miracle

Call blockers are a miracle, too. Especially those which enable you to block entire area codes.

They left a message to call them urgently or my windows services will be stopped.

Same here, left message that my computer is in immediately going to shut down if I do not call back, woman's voice this time.  We are being flooded with scam messages, using banks and local government agency names also.

Received same message from same number.  Have received these in past and reported them to Microsoft. Been from different numbers but same message.

I received a call from this number today.  Recorded message saying my computer had been compromised.  I just hung up as I knew this was a scam.  I've received this same message before.

Yes, just received the same URGENT phone message. A robotic message ... jerks.

I received the same automated message. I ignored it just as I ignored the pop up message on my computer last year saying that the computer was compromised with a virus. I turned the computer off and back on and the problem went away. The computer has worked fine since then. Don't fall for it. It's a bunch of BS!

Scam caller says computer will stop working unless I call with a security deposit for them to Get it back working again...

Microsoft does NOT have your phone number and will not call you.  This is a scam.

Scam artist claiming to Windows Support.  Do not answer your phone.  Do not return the call.  For the love of Mike, do NOT let them remote into your computer.  These callers will "show" you normal files on your computer (most people won't recognize them so they get away with it) and tell you that they are "errors" that they will charge you to fix.  THEY ARE LYING!!  HANG UP!!!
