They call nonstop almost every hour for days, then stop for a few weeks, then resume.  I have caller id so I dont answer, or if I have the time to spare, I answer it and then put the phone down and walk away, wasting their time.  If I receive one more phone call from them, I will contact the Attorney General's Office for the State of Maryland.

I have been getting these calls for a LONG time and they are now calling several times a day even late in the evening [8-9 pm].  I have asked them multiple times to take me off their list and they just hang up on me.  I have asked for a manager and they tell me there isn't one available.  I have pleaded and even yelled with no change.  I have threatened to report them for harrassment.  Still calling.  I have just added a call blocking service for $2.00 a month that will block any number I wish.  The service rep for my phone service suggested that after receiving a message from my phone of "this number is no longer receiving calls" they may take me off their list after a few weeks and then I can discontinue paying for it.  We'll see...

I too have gotten multiple calls from this group for months despite asking many times to be removed from this list. Since I have caller ID, most times I don't answer, but yesterday I had 9 calls, every hour on the hour. No calls today, but I'm sure they will begin again. I filed a complaint with the FCC, but they don't have the power to do anything. I'll follow the suggestion above re asking for FCC no-call list to include charities. As far as I'm concerned, I'm being harrassed. Is there legal recourse at all?

I've received 29 calls from them in the past three days (eleven calls yesterday starting at 10 AM and ending at 8:38 PM). So far today they have called five times...). the last time there was a voicemail message on my answering machine--dead air for 3 minutes. It has happened before.

Once upon a time I made a donation, and now can't get removed from their list.

I can't understand how they think that this kind of harassment will convince people to donate to their charity. Any support I might want to give to the Native American communities will definitely NOT be through this organization!

These people have called me (4 corners) repeatedly since my Grandma DIED over two years ago. She made a donation to them once and now they call and DEMAND we keep up her donation level. At first it was hurtful to be reminded that my lovely Grandma was taken advantage of-  but it is REALLY out of hand now. I am so angry.
  I have now started a new tactic with them saying, "Repeat after me-- Mrs. Smith IS DEAD! No money is coming!"  "Say it-- say it--"  or "I'll send you money when your dead Grandma sends me 100 dollars!"
  Sometimes I growl or bark or whistle into the phone. Other times I spend some of my spare time calling the # back. No answer usually, but I feel a little vindicated since nothing else works. I heard that it costs them money. Oh well. Hope the calls stop for all of us.

I am very tired of these repetitious hourly and daily calls from this company. I will never donate to these people and feel that they have harrrassed me for a very long time. Please help me!!!

they called my (212) land line phone number in NYC about 15:30 today. After I said "good afternoon" a couple of times a female rep at their end patched in and read me a script about water at Four Corners Indian Reservation.
I politely told her what she and her group could do.
Note that I've made reports of this to the FCC and also sent letters to my Senator in the past. Yet these folk are still at it.

I have threatened these people with legal action...works for a while, but they start calling again. There must be something that can be done to stop these calls...charitable organizations or not, if I don't want to be bothered, I don't want to be bothered. Something just has to be done!!

The Manta listing for the American Relief Association shows Hulya Coban as the company contact & vice president.  Directory assistance & Google lists Coban's # in Surprise, AZ as (623)547-6078.  

I have received MANY calls from this bogus group and, each time that I have spoken with a human, I have asked to be removed from their call list.  It has not worked.  I have been unable to find a functioning # for the company that works.  I am now going to leave messages at the Coban # requesting that the calls to my home stop.

My wife and I got repeated calls from them and kept asking to be taken off the list to no avail.  

Finally, last time they called, I said to the operator, "Actually, I would LOVE to support Native American Tribes... oh, and by the way, how much of my donation goes to the tribes and how much goes to your own group?"  

The operator told me that it all went to the tribes and I said, "that's great, I'd like to give A LOT.  How much can I give?  Is there a limit?  Oh, wait-- wait-- I just saw something online, here, in The New York Times, saying that your group only donated $6,424 to the tribes last year... after raising over half a million through these phone calls.  Golly, that's terrible..."  The operator hung up on me and I haven't heard from them since.

800-221-5508:  4 Corners Indian Reservation (Or so they say...)   Just got this call and have gotten this call off and on for the past 5 years - each time requesting that they stop calling and take us off their list.  This time the person on the other end offered to send literature when I told them to remove the number from their call list and stop calling  - I declined the offer and asked them if there was something else I needed to do to be more clear to them - she hung up on me.

They have my cell phone number. There automated calling system lacks "call supervision". this means if a call is connected and then the the person being harassed (that's us) doesn't disconnect the call, the line remains off hook.
I am not sure exactly how it happened but I got a call on my cell phone from them that billed me for over an hour of air time. When I had the cell company credit it back they searched and found 4 other calls that were similar.
Somethings wrong with our system that allows this form of harassment!!!!

They've been calling an unlisted cell number (we suspect my grandmother donated and for some reason gave them my mom's number) repeatedly for about...I'd like to say 2 years, but I suspect it's longer.  They cycle through a couple different numbers, we have them written down someplace but it's at least 10.  Nonstop for a few weeks, stops for a few months if we yell at them, then starts again.  It seems that as soon as they find out one number is on a reject list they go to another.

About 6 months ago they started calling MY cell phone (I have no idea where they got it from).  When threatened with the do-not-call list, the person got flip and said "we're located on a reservation and federal laws don't apply to us".

This needs to STOP.  The only do-not-call loophole that they could use is "prior business relationship", which is utterly false.

suggestion: sue their phone company, when the actions done from that number are harrasment it should be possible to make the phone company to end their contract. after all they assist a company that is harrassing a lot of ppl.
and when a few ppl start to sue the phone company for compansation...a lot of lawyers will offer their service to earn their percentage. after some time they might not be able to find a phone-provider anymore.

PS.: sueing the phone company might at least result in finding out with whom they have the contract, when the adress is not correct there is no reason to keep up the contract, when it IS correct u know whom to sue to stop/compensate.

PPS.: thats only civil law applied, penal law might have a few more oportunities.
when they harrass ppl in more than one state it could be a federal thing, responsibility of the FBI.
