Waste Management - Collections Division

It's a Saturday.  Got a call from "Waste Management at the above number; automated voice said to call them. Curious, hubby says the bill is paid and MY phone number is not on their records.  I tried calling it back and it said the intended recipient's mail box is full.

This is a scam from the get go! I pay my bill a year in advance. I get a calls from "Waste Management"  on the average of 4 times a week. I called my local wasted collection service and they confirmed for me that many of their customers have been calling in with same questions I had and they assured me that it IS A SCAM.

  got a call from this number on june 10 am. bill was paid on may 5th. sure it is a scam.

Received two similar calls (first on June 6th, a Saturday, and second on June 16th, a Tuesday) regarding waste management bill issue.  Account in the Pacific Northwest was closed (online) on April 6th due to a relocation out of the area and on May 15th I had called WM to address a bill posted on my account for the Apr-May-Jun timeframe. The person I spoke to confirmed that there had been no pick-up after that date and processed the cancellation.  Interestingly, my online account balance shows that payment as being cancelled but the bill as still being due.

This is a legitimate number for Waste Management.  I called the number back.  They are located in AZ as the hub billing office that calls on behalf of several states.  (Look at your bill, you see the payments go to AZ.)  They called as a kind reminder that my bill is past due 10 days; pick-up is not cancelled unless 30 days late.  So I am thankful for the reminder!  It's not a scam call.

This number called our business and the automated voice said that we needed to call them back regarding our past due account with Waste Management.  However, we don't pay Waste Management directly. We pay the city for the services. Total Scam!!!

I dont have waste management at all I have a company called Eagle Trash so its totally a scam   Plus Caller ID says Auto Warranty

Every time I answer, it hangs up. I do have a WM account that I recently closed, so maybe this is legit?

I don't have waste management .  I Received 6  calls. I answer, it hangs up.

This is a legit number for Waste Management. I had closed my account a couple months ago, and was told at that time by customer service that there would be a credit on my next (2 month) billing cycle to wipe the slate clean. The collection calls came from this number prior to the credits being applied. When I called, I gave the rep MY number and told her she should be able to tell me what my name was based upon that. She was able to do so and to confirm account closure date and credits on my account. So yes, this is a legit number.

This is a legit call. I called Waste Management back using the phone number they provide online and they said this call was from an automated system for billing. It turned out I had a balance that was showing up as past due but only because the automated system doesn't understand more complicated issues. Just call WM back on their official number 1-800-592-9995

I received a call from this number last week, but I didn't answer. Received a letter from Waste Management the next day that account is a month over due, and service will be cancelled if not paid by the end of Dec. I was late paying this bill, so it probably was a legitimate call.

Definitely a scam! Called the real WM and they confirmed this message and number is not from them.

This is correct. It is legit, a few times the computer called me when I wasn't late, but mostly it's accurate.  Not a scam at all.  They call at odd times since they are in AZ and to try to speak to or leave a message for people who are most likely at work during the day.

It can't be legit call, because I don't even have a waste account.

I get a call from this number several times a week. We pay for waste management through our taxes which are paid once a year. This is a nuisance, I'm sick of these calls. I don't answer numbers I don't know, their message is tge sane every time claiming their with waste management. It's bs.

Voicemail says it is from Waste Management and I am past due.  My rent includes my garbage, and I have never set up an account with them before.  Seems shady.
