They never leave messages. When you pick up, it only is a recording saying it's not a sales call and that it is important for you to call back and their hours. When you call, they tried to offer me half off a percentage rate on one of my credit cards. That is total crap. I believe they are phishing for info but I did not let it get that far.

Have been receiving calls for days from 8662238025, but they never leave a VM.  I answered a call from them and they refused to tell me who they were.  The kept saying a name and wouldn't tell me anything unless I confirmed that I was this person.

They call a government business line.  Yet no one understands who they want/need.

Someone from this number called and said they could cut a payment to GE Money Bank in half.  They wanted my credit card number and I wouldn't give it to them.  When I called the financial institute they had no idea what I was talking about.  The financial inst. didn't belong to that number.

I get these calls every day on my work phone number,.  I have no idea why.  It is always a click and that's all.

I get a call from this # about 1-2 a week at work and just about everyday at home. I just don't answer or i tell them that she's not here when they ask for me. After reading everyone's messages I'm glad i don't answer what a scam.

I just received 3 calls from this number in a 36 hour period of time.  2 August at 10:53a.m then twice on 3 August 2008 at 3:51p.m and 7:24p.m.  I was waiting for them to leave a message but they don't.  Now that I have found this website I programmed the number into my phone as a scam and will start answering when they call.  Pretty annoying, kind of like the calls that go straight to an automated spanish message.  Between calls like the ones from this number and the spam text messages I have been getting lately kind of makes me want to give up phones.

Guy called said he was working with a Federal Program to help the economy and could cut my interest rate to 10% and lower my min. payment - He knew my name and address and info on my card like what my min payment was and how much the current balance I owed. Then he asked for my routing # to my bank and I told him I would make a payment online - he gave me the 866.223.8025 # to call back after I made the payment. Sounded fishy so I hit the web and here I am

I have been getting these calls also. I answered it one time (on a Sunday).. A female voice offering a lower rate on GE Credit Cards. Intresting.... I told her I was busy. And since then.. the calls come everyday, even Sundays, I called the number back, and got 'leave a message' From reading the others, they are busy. Least some people have a job!   Thanks Bush!!!!

I received three phone calls from this number.  Two of them on Sunday the 23rd and again another on Monday the 24th.  There is just a recorded message stating something they have important information about GE Money and to call them between certain business hours.  When I called the number back from a land line, it says to just leave a message.  I feel it's just another scam.

I just got a call from them a little after 7:30 this morning.  After reading some of the comments I called back around 10:30 and an Indian man answered "GE Money."  I told him I had a call from this number early this morning and he wanted my phone number.  I told him I'd call back later and just hung up.  I guess I'll call GE Money later today to make sure everything is ok.

They called at 8:45 a.m. Sunday on my cell phone. Didn't recognize the number so I didn't pick it up. Message just seemed like some heavy breathing. Called the number back and it went to a queue "please wait for the next available..." and I hung up. It didn't identify a company.

I started getting calls from this number yesterday morning.  By the afternoon they had called me 3 times.  Each time I answer there is silence and then it disconnects.  So I looked the number up on the internet and found all these complaints.  After they called a 4th time I called them back and got an automated message to please stay on the line for the next available representative.  When the next "representative" answered he answered with "Hello?" I said "WHAT??" and the called disconnected.  I called back and got someone else with a thick accent.  I told him I wanted to be taken off their calling list.  He asked for my phone # so I gave it to him.  He then asked for my name.  I asked him what the name of the person was that they had been trying to call.  He told me that that was confidential.  I said, "You called my phone 4 times today, I'd say it's every bit my business!"  He still refused to tell me.  I finally gave him my name and told him to take my name off their dmn list and never call me again and then I hung up on him.  So far today - no phone calls.

Heavily accented guy asked for me by name.  Since I didn't recognize the number, I asked who was calling.  He gave me a name that I don't remember, and I asked who he was calling with.  He asked if he had me, again by name, on the phone.  I said that I wasn't passing along the phone to anyone if I didn't know who he was calling with. He said thank you very much and hung up.  Everything about it just seemed weird and wrong.  And it's not like I have the most common name.

Ok...I feel less crazy now.  I've been getting these calls at work and home and there is never any message.  They come before 8am at work and after 8pm at home.  They are driving me nuts!  When I call back, I just get a recording that says, "leave a message".  No company info is on their voicemail.  I'm so glad I didn't answer after everything I've seen here.  Thanks to all for documenting!
