claimed to be from Allstate selling roadside service plan at $13/mo. $1 first two months. #s they gave are not on Allstate's website or Allstates roadside service site.

i got a phone call from this #: 866.228.1259 today, but importantly they did not leave a message. the odd thing is though, i received a phone call similarly yesterday. it was also an 866 # and they claimed to be calling about an allstate auto insurance plan. luckily i only take the sub and i don't have a car. upon telling the "agent" this, he promptly ended the phone call. shady!

Thanks for the information. I received the same call today and no message was left.  Once again thanks for posting about this topic so that others can be informed.  All in all this whole call to buy roadside insurance has always seemed odd to me anyway.  Thanks.

i checked with my agent. they said it is a genuine allstate motors club and not a fraud.

Called stating from All State asking to speak to my wife.  When I asked what the call was about he said, "Is she there?"  I hung up.  What an a$$hole.

Called, nobody on the line. If it's Allstate, I've no doubt they'll call back, as I'm a policyholder...

Thank you for the postings. I have received a lot of calls from these folks. I screen my calls and require them to leave a message. They never do.

They hung up as we picked up.
Seemed a little late for most calls. (after 9 pm)

I got no message and didn't answer today, but have had the expensive Allstate roadside calls frequently from almost all unknown numbers calling me.  I'm an Allstate customer and also sometimes get offers by mail for a 1-year subscription to roadside service for $25-$50 total, I suspect this is the same program only the marketing company is allowed to charge whatever they want and keep the difference.
