JUST GOT A CALL FROM THAT NUMBER.  my ANSWERING MACHINE GOT IT.  It was completely in spanish.  Finished with Gracias.
Did not understand a word except they say they are from Wells Fargo.

I called the number back, entered some bogus information.. A guy came on the line... There was absolutely no background noise... Too quiet for a call center.. Checked my wells fargo statements, both online and hard copy and number did not appear anywhere..

Told the guy on the line that I would call the number listed on my statement.. He said ok and hung up.. I immediately called wells fargo and they confirmed that my account was absolutely fine..

Some have stated that the number is legit... I don't believe it.

I keep getting calls from this number (866-228-3535) sometimes asking me to call back -- most of the time asking for a Cynthia Cohee.  I have asked repeatedly to be taken off of whatever list my name must be on.  I've tried to be nice.  It does no good.  Yesterday, I threatened to report it.  Sometimes I've not been so nice.  This has been going on now for the last 3 or 4 years.

When I google this number I see it is a Wells Fargo Number.

Can't someone do something????

As most who have posted here, I've started to get calls from this number (866-228-3535) claiming to be Wells Fargo mortgage. Recording only that insist I call. I have NO mortgage with Wells Fargo. I have no accounts at all with Wells Fargo.

Reported them to donotcall.gov. Will do so everyday they call.

I received a call today at 2:17 PM, supposedly from Wells Fargo Mortgage, asking me to call 1-866-228-3535 regarding my mortgage and please have my loan number available. I did not call but searched for that number to find out if it was actually a Wells Fargo Phone Number. Guess what I found? This web site where a number of people have left messages complaining about these calls and stating that Wells Fargo personnel say it is not a Wells Fargo Number. A reverse search does for the number does not have a listing as to the identity of the person/s having that number

These people call at least 6 time a day.  I will answer it and then they hang up.  So SICK OF THESE people calling so many times a day!!

If it was indeed Wellsfargo... There business would show up on caller ID... Which did not... Any 800, 866, 877 number that does not show the business name on it. I refuse to answer.... Especially, now because of the elections.... Been getting swamped with stupid election calls.... There should be a law against that also..... I don't need people telling me who to vote for. I already know!!!!
