This is another new one.  This is only a guess but GC Services the Collection Jerks for Capital One have used about 5 or 6 new 800 Type numbers in the last few weeks.  I have the phone blocked by my Digitone CallBlocker which prevents all 800 Type calls for getting through and sends them off to LALA Land and I am sure they hope each individual number is blocked so they are trying different ones.  Does not make any difference with the CallBlocker I can block and area code from going through so if it is 800, 866, 877, 203, 605 it does not matter.  The numbers can only get through that I want.  Well worth the money.

This phone number is for the NRA. They call here constantly. My husband, who is an avid hunter, joined a few years back. They constantly hounded us for money. We thought that the $100 for the membership was for that. Not a chance, they always want more. Some weeks they would call every single day. When his membership expired he refused to sign up again because of the constant phone calls. They also send us mail a couple of times a week wanting money as well. Now they call constantly wanting him to rejoin. We don't answer the phone anymore.

I thought this number was a collection jerk also, but it turned out to be the NRA wanting me to vote for a certain canditate.  Both types of calls are equally annoying

Answered call but no one was there.  Then it hung up.  After reading these comments I called the number back.  Yes, it is the NRA and I am a member.  I told the nice gent on the other end to put me on their no-call list.   They did.  I would suggest calling them if you are getting these calls.

If this is the NRA they have changed their number since last year when these NRA calls came day and night!!  If they want to alinate people for WHATEVER cause they are currently touting this is the way to do it!!!!

Got a call, answered it and no one was there...creeps me out when that happens.  Called and it was the NRA called them back and told them to remove me from their list.  He said he would.

They call 2 or 3 times a day and they hang up on me because I told them not to call us anymore. They want my husband because he was a member of NRA but he is not anymore. They waste more money on phone bills to get donations -IF THEY WOULD STOP HARRASSING PEOPLE VIA PHONE then they could use the money they saved on the phone bill to help protect our guns rights which is what they are suppose to be doing and not harrassing people.

This caller is a completely Random Dude thats been calling me for years. I tried to have them take me off their caller list but I still recieve calls from them daily. =P

This is the NRA, one of many many toll-free numbers they use.  "NRA" never appears on my caller ID, so you can't tell it is them unless you answer the phone.   They refuse to speak to me, and when I tell them my husband (a member of the NRA) is not home, they hang up on me.  I've asked them to stop calling us, but they basically said they don't have to listen to me.   My husband also asked them to stop calling us, but they still do.  Very annoying.

They call every day and when I answer (which I don't always do) no one is there. It's annoying and aggravating.

We have repeated calls from this number on our caller ID, and the caller is "unavailable." I don't usually answer this but I'm so tired of it I did finally answer, and a woman was asking for my husband.  I said he was unavailable and could I take a message, since she sounded serious and we were expecting a call from the bank about a loan.  She said no and hung up before I could ask who was calling.

So I came here and found out it was the NRA.  My husband is a lifetime member and sends donations now and then, but they still call CONSTANTLY, especially during election season.  

So I called them back and asked them to take us off the list.  The man on the phone was very nice and verified our information, but also said that they were calling about an important matter (=politics).  I explained that my husband works night shift and is trying to sleep during the day, that the calls are excessive, that I have asked us to be removed before, and that they show up on Caller ID as "unavailable."  So he said that he would take us off the list.

We'll see what happens

Phone rings until you answer.  Then you get a dial tone.

What does anyone get from this?  Finding out if you are home?

Or - Finding out if you are not at home!  

Maybe who-ever it is is charting a trend.  Or am I getting paranoid?

Thanks for the tips guys.  Got a call from this number, and when I answered, they hung up.  I hate that.  So I traced it, at the cost of  75 cents.  Also got another NRA call from 866-431-5117, same tactics, they hung up when I answered.

I just received a call from this number, googled it, found out it was NRA of which I am a Life Member.  I support the cause, but hate these constant phone calls.  Refuse to answer unless they start identifying themselves as NRA.  I suppose they want more money.  Well, I am on a fixed income and it's not fixed to include them any more.  That's why I became a Lifer a long long time ago.

They just keep calling me and calling me and not leaving a message.  Can someone do something about this as it is totally harassment.

Received a call at 8:20am from this number.  Don't know who it was because they didn't leave any message.

Yep, call back and was taken off the list.

Thanks for the info.  Just got a call and wanted to check.  I have also allowed my membership to lapse.

Received a few calls from this number and no messages left. Comes up unavailable on caller id.  Wish they would stop calling.
