Some Indian sounding gentlemen in what sounded like a call center called me from this number. He told me he needed to speak with me about my Windows Operating System. When I told him that I do not own a computer he hung up on me. Probably a scammer.

Definitely a scam.  Search on "Windows Tech Support Scam" or "Microsoft Tech Support Scam".  They want to trick you into granting them remote access to your computer so they can install ransomware or delete necessary files then charge you to "fix" the problem. They will also most likely install malware such as keyloggers to steal your logins, passwords, credit card numbers and banking information.  Tell them you you know all about their scam and hang up.  If you are tech savvy, have some fun with them.

It is 6:30PM CST, who on earth would call me from China at this damn hour? I just got a call from this number and on the incoming call on my cellphone it said China underneath the number. I did not answer the call.

Well I decided to call the number back just to see what it is and a disconnect recording comes on saying number you reached is not in service. Definitely some sort of scam... Adding this # to call block

An Indian man called saying he needed to give us a code to use on our computer because he was showing that we had a virus. He gave us a code to enter into our computer and it did nothing. My husband finally said, this isnt working so im hanging up. My husband kept asking him who he worked for but his accent was so bad he couldnt understand him. I hope we didnt give him access to all our personal info, we'll be screwed.I called the number back but its busy.

SCAM!  Google "Windows Tech Support Scam".  But you may want to disconnect your computer from the internet and have it checked for malicious software by a technician that you trust.

They never leave a message and you can't call them back

Received SCAM call from this number from PC SERVICE MASTERS. Broken English accent caller stated my IP had sent error messages to the "global server" that I had uploaded a virus. Upon further questioning, he simply repeated same script. He gave me a call back number of 866-232-4196

If you want to play with them, ask for the server IP and port number of the "global server" receiving the error messages.  Tell them to hold on a minute while you check something then say that can't be possible since my firewall has blocked access to that server.  Or you can ask if the virus has crashed the "global server" yet.  If they say "no" ask them to call back when the server has crashed so you can target another scammer.

Yes he is a scammer.  I have 4 computers at home that are serviced by Geek Squad.  Yet this Indian guy is asking me to set in front of the computer and give him some info.

When I asked him who he works for, he said Microsoft.  Then I informed him that I am a software and Telecom engineer... and that was a quick hang-up.  I am still looking into the 866-232-4197 he called from.

Indian Scammer I just, kept ahnging up and they quit calling

I recived a call form this number on 02/26/2013. I did not answer it.

I have received multiple calls from this number over the last several days on my cell; however, when I answer, there is silence, and they hang up. I wonder if they are trying to hit a modem line.

I have received multiple calls from this number and I have actually tried to answer it a few times.  When I have, there is silence, then it just says "Good bye."  DO NOT ANSWER!!!

I have been called by this number over the last 3 days, at least twice a day. Yesterday I picked up and there was no answer

Received 4 calls this morning and in the past week too many to recall.  I do not answer and no message is left. On a nocall listing National and State but apparently does not matter to this caller

This is a scammer, he is trying to hack your computer.

This number has called me THREE times today. FINALLY on the 3rd try, I was told that Windows had received communication that my computer has reported over 2,000 registry errors, and they want to fix it. I told them I back up all my files, don't have the money to pay them to fix it, then hung up. Glad I could come on here and see I'm not the only one having this problem!

Please do not fall for this, I had a lot of fun with this guy, 36 minutes worth.
