called stated that they was a paralegal...said they would call my employer instead.  threated me.

I keep getting calls from this number as well. Persons name is Ian Baker says he is a paralegal and wants to talk to me about a pending case against me. Has given me a few days to return the call. I do not know what he would be calling for, so I have not responded to his calls. Where do I file a claim to the FTC or what is that?

A guy by the name of Ethan Patrick leaves this message from "National Attorney's" stating that this was his second attempt to reach me regarding a case against me.  It wasn't...  First message I have ever recieved.  Then he proceeds to threaten me that his "Firm" is ready to proceed with legal action.  Stated that and I Quote...  "I guess you won't take this seriously until the marshalls are knocking at my door".  Who the hell is this guy to threaten me like this?...  Never stated who he was working for or a case number to reference...  Can I file suit under the Fair Collections Act?

My Mom answered my phone today, was a call from a Ethan Patrick. 866-236-7606, ext. 240.  Would not give a company number, but went on to tell my Mom that it was in regards to a court case and supoena that he had on his desk for me.  My Mom asked him if he was supposed to give out this information, and he told her that he could, it was nothing private!  When you call someone and they tell you that they are not that person isn't it illegal or something to give that information out.

I received a call from them today. The message I received was from this same establishment. Said he was a paralegal, his name is Peter Wells, he had a pending case against me. Number 866-236-7606. The call came in as private caller, I did not answer. I believe it is for ACE Cash Express or Check Smart. They have been harrassing me. I have made un-numbered attempts to settle a disagreement with them and they refuse to work with me. I consolidated my bills due to a unforseen loss of income to the amount of $625.00 a month, which started at least 4 months ago, and they refuse to work with me or the company that I have consolidated my debts with. They have called me at work, called my personal references and told them my business, they have yelled and screamed at me, they have sent threating letters to me. I told them just yesterday that if they want the debt settled that they need to call the consolidation company, by refusing to work with the consolidation company that they are refusing payment. If they want their money they will call them and work with them.I finally hung up. I also reported the to the FTC.

A guy Derek or Kyle Anderson keeps calling and saying that he is a paralegal with National Attorneys and that he got my file on his desk and that I need to call him to discuss my pending case against me.  He said that it was for a cash advance place he couldnt tell which one.He kept saying that I was being sued and refused to tell me who he was representing.  He also said that papers had been filed against me and that I would pay $3000 and take Money Management classes.  Now he is saying that my case is being turned over to the investigations department.  Sorry but if he wants money he better tell me who hes representing or he aint getting no payment.  So Im waiting to be served the papers to see who it is then work out an agreement with my local court clerk.

Got a call about mid october from a lady stating that she had my file on her desk saying that i owe $600.00 on a loan takin out July 2007. Why would someone just now call me after a year and a half? She went on about how i needed to pay them within 2 hrs. i couldnt make payment plans i needed the full amount and she needed my account information. I thought that was a little strange.If i didnt call her back i would be sent to court and have to pay 3 times the amount i owe. Usually anyone  willing to make arrangements as long as you agree to pay them. Didnt hear from her again until today, 3 months later. She called me at work and went on saying my file was still on her desk. And she needed to collect the debt by the end of the day. If i thought this was legit, I would most definitely pay. But im not to sure. There are alot of scams out here. Guess Ill just have to wait and see. Honestly who would give all the account information over the phone not knowing who they are giving it to.

I received a call from 866-236-7606 ext 208....stated that he was an attorney Samuel Binds. Also, stated that the name of the company was NACS. There is not such attorney by that name because I checked.

Left a message with my nanny, stating that in order to avoid being summons to court to call back.

I keep this "Peter Wells" dude too, "unavailable" cell call.  Screw that.  I've researched my payday advance loans and this number nvr comes up.  Hmph. What's up with that. Told the guy I want to pay but he gave me no reference where the debt came from.  Extremely unprofessional organization or some scam.

Just got a call from them when I asked for a letter with information verifying that I owed this debt, I was told that they would not send out that information. I stated that by law if I was disputing the validity of a debt they have to provide me with verification. She stated that they were an attorneys office, nad that they do not have to provide me any information. All of the information that I am finding states that they are a collection agency.

Caller said he was with an attorney's office and said I would be taken to court for a felony of fraud because I wrote a check to a pay day loan company....I told him I lost my job right after I took out the loan and couldn't pay it ...but had made a couple of small payments ... he said he had permission from the attorney since he was a paralegal to settle the debt for $460 but that I owed $560 ... I haven't been able to find a decent job since Oct. of 2007 and have been working as an indp. contractor I told him and he said I had to pay by the 23rd of Feb. or they were suing me and it would be om my record as a felony .... Does anyone know if this is true ???  I've since found out he is a collector at a collection agency ...I just told him I have aboout $100 in the bank at this time .. and don't know how I would pay it ... Can they do this ..??  I don't know what to do ??  I can't find a job now .. so if I have a felony on my record I'm sure I won';t be able to find decent work ever ..... what kind of system is this ... does anyone know if this is true???

can a payday loan company or collection agency handling a pay day loan collection .. sue and get it on your record as a fraud or felony.. ??

got a phonecall from a lady saying that she is a parallegal calling from NACS and stated that i need to make a payment towards an unpaid payday loan to her with my credit card over the phone and if not then i will be sued and taken to court and have to pay three times the amount i owe plus pay court fees. I dont want to resolve this issue with the payday loan but i dont want to give her my credit card information over the phone because i honestly believe this is a credit agency and she is lying about being an attorneys office. the number is 18662367606

did u really do some research on this company and check to see if this attorneys office even exists? Ever since i got this phonecall from these people i been stressed out. The lady that called me said that i would be supoened to court if i dont make the payment with her. I dont trust her and i need some advice on this

I am going to hire an attorney.  I only owe $420.00 and I have been making payments to the cooperate office in KC and they haven't been sending them back...I sat these up on the phone. They have a lady in the KC area that is sueing them and I beleive this is Quik Cash Payday Loans.  Is that the one that you owe money to?

Keep getting a text message on work phone (no texting allowed)...text msg says to call this number but when I do call the number from landline, a recorded message it says leave a msg. I don't have a clue what msg to leave so I hang up.  How can they text my work cell, whover they are? I'm going to get dinged for data chgs. On a work mobile. ????
