Eastlink? Really? I'm already a freaking eastlink customer so why are they calling me multiple times a day and not leaving a message?

I get many calls from this number and there is never anyone there.

Please make them stop!!!!!

I had this number call this afternoon.  I dialed back and hit 6 to speak with a representative.  I asked what the call was about, and she said that there was nothing in my account that warranted a call, so it was likely that it was a sales rep doing a cold call.

I asked her if there was a way to be removed from their call list, and she said that she'd send an email to a supervisor so I wouldn't be called again.  Time will tell.

Interestingly enough, the caller (person? machine?) managed to leave a voicemail which was just the click of the hangup.  When I check my voicemail, I have it configured to tell me the calling number, or if there is a name set up for the calling number, I hear that.  The name attached to this number was "Peter Bragg", no doubt a relative of John Bragg, the cable pioneer and father of what is now EastLink.

I just got a letter about a rate hike last week, so it would be pretty ballsy calling me up asking me to give them even MORE money.  Either way, very uncool.

Calls start early in the morning, called this morning, Mothers Day. I wish there was some way to stop these people from harrassing us.

The number is Eastlink customer service. I've talked to them and they have it on some kind of stuck auto dialer with no rep on the other end. They are calling, at least during April/May 2009, for a digital cable promotion. I've told them it was pretty poor customer service trying to piss peole off all hours of the day and night. They said they will investigate.

After calling Eastlink and advising them of this on going harrassment and telling them to remove my name from their calling list they continued to call me several times... WTF is wrong with you [***]!!!!!

We have had 13 calls from this number since the beginning of May, and 5 spaced at hourly intervals on May 14
(We now never answer 1-800/866/877 etc. calls)
Anyway, filed a complaint with Eastlink over their website

These calls are not coming from Eastlink.  This appears to be some form of high tech scam.  The source is somehow spoofing the Eastlink support number, disguising its true source (if it were from Eastlink, the caller id would not say "Unknown name").  You can block this number.  Follow the instructions on Eastlink's support website, at http://www.eastlink.ca/support/telephone/troubleshooting.asp#q7 and file an abuse report via email to abuse@corp.eastlink.ca

Just spoke, June 8/09, w/Eastlink's Halifax customer service and they have confirmed that 866-238-2390 is a company contracted by Eastlink to do telemarketing. Have requested they remove us from ALL Eastlink-related telemarketing and expressed our extreme displeasure/distress etc. Will write a letter also. Agent said I did not need to put block on number from my end because he was doing it immediately. Hope it is so (or will call him back!).
We were receiving numerous calls, no one on line, sometimes 2 min. apart - definitely harassment on June 7/09 where we recd 7 calls, 2 min. apart in a row! Thank you for all who helped sort this out.

They just called me and lied and told me they had talked to my wife and was doing a follow up call, I laughed never married and single. Pound sand eastlink

BEWARE  new scam  Indian sounding man by the name of ANDY who works for ISM who appears to speak broken English with  broken up reception ,calls . He wonders why you do not heed his warning because he has called many times. He is wanting access to your computor because your server has reported that there are hackers on your computor and you can find this out yourself and he will quide you through the process DO NOT DO IT ,IT IS A SCAM
