    Ordnance Museum Foundation
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports The U.S.Army Ordnance Museum.  We pay all bills promptly.  These 866 people call daily - but never when one of is in the office - and leave a message for "Mr. or Mrs. Ordnance".  They do mention that it is about collecting a debt.  They must be perpetrating some type of fraud.

I would probably notify them that they have the wrong number instead of taking the time to go to a forum to cry about it.

If the number is not registered in the person they are callings name and you never authorized that person to use your number you can ask them for their mailing address next time they call and mail them a letter stating "cease and desist from calling (xxx) xxx-xxxx. " then they can't call you any more.

Oh and Terry its not that I never missed a bill. If I can't pay a bill I set up a payment arrangement even if it is $1 I am trying to repay my debts and it shows good faith and integrity. Besides this is cable, internet and telephone service. These are all not something I would die without.I canceled my service as soon as I knew I couldn't pay it. Then I paid it off. That what mature honest people do.

Well Sherry, I didn't ask nor comment on anything you have said prior. You felt the need to speak on someone else behalf with an imaginary senerio as an explaination for a revolving unpaid debt. I clearly explained to others how to resolve a financial issue or handling  a wrong caller situation. Should someone have a " a problem" without a better definition of said "problem" I would not know what their shoes feel like but, I will tell you avoidence of any problem (in this case a debt) is not a solution. Its not a fun situation but, finding resolution is the responsible thing to do. If someone is in debt the only way to find an end to it is pay your bills down or file bankruptcy. This is not rocket science just common sense.

The problem we are having is with your parachuting five months late into a mostly dormant thread and looking down your nose at the only three existing posts to have appeared in a year's time, which say very little and give no indication that anyone is "running from" debt. Thus far you are the only one here with a "need to speak on someone else's behalf with an imaginary scenario". (Note corrections of your spelling)

Your accusatory tone has not waned in eight months of repeat visits here, nor has your ignorance of what has actually been written. You've offered no comments on the caller's behavior, but plenty of snotty assessments of respondents. This all suggests a shill for the collector is here only to demoralize its targets.

The complaints I've seen on Receivable Management Services (RMS) show the same disturbing patterns as from its industry peers, such as obnoxious reps, runaway skip tracing, and chasing of junky uncollectable accounts. RMS also handles a fair amount of medical debt, a nightmare category unto itself filled with double billing, phantom charges, sloppy ledgers, and poor communication often committed by the providers.

There are few "mature honest people" to be found among such collectors. Refusing to do what they want before proof of claim has come is not "avoidance" of a problem but the wiser response. That's the sort of "common sense" you 'Pay Youse Bills' catcallers always miss. Oh, and there is another method of "finding resolution" when a collection agency tries to deny your rights. You name it as "defendant".

LAUREN.......Are you ever NOT a biznatch?  Seems you come on this site enough times to monitor what everyone writes and write rude comments.  People are looking for help, not someone to degrade them.  My take on it and you,  is that since you seem to know so much on this subject,  you DO or HAVE missed payments plenty and you come on here to down grade people to make your sorry self feel better.  Get a life.  FYI people.....what I've found is that my phone number happens to be an old number of another person; many of us have new phone numbers and our number use to be someone else's.  Even after telling these people this they will still try again....send a certified letter and it will stop.  If it is your bill try making an arrangement so the calls stop.  Good luck to all and God bless.
