MRS Assoc. is a collection agency

This number keeps texting me.  The name of the company is MRS ASSOCIATION.   It say that it is about a collection for Verizon.  I do not have nor have I ever had Verizon!

This is a scam. They sent me a text msg about a bill from Verizon. I called Verizon and they are aware of fishing attempts to get your personal info. If you call this outfit you are at risk of having your personal info sold on the dark web

Just got a text message from a different phone number asking me to call this one.  Definitely a scam because I don’t have a Verizon account.

She tried to tell me my phone bill wasn't paid since oct. then said something about nov. & dec. being combined but I screenshot every payment I make lol.

I just received a text saying to contact them "MRS" that they are attempting to collect a debt for Verizon.  I wasn't actually a typed message it was an image of a text.

I to got the same message, funny how the image is a .png from 973-874-1123. This is definitely a scam.

Message after message after message saying I’m late on my Verizon payment but I’m current with Verizon. Definite scam !!  Don’t call them back .

How do you get it to go away? It won’t let me cancel or even shut off my iPad!

Well you could hope and pray that person stops back after a year and eight months (yes the post was clearly made Feb. of 2019), or you could call up Apple and ask them what to do.  Which one do you think would be the best solution?

Text messages to collect debts are still illegal.

You will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt, and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.  If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.

Please explain why you think that person, who clearly posted here Feb. of 2020, is calling you over a year later and why you think that person has anything to do with this debt collector?

I don't understand your post. They never identified themselves as Verizon. They clearly identified their company name and the purpose of the text. Everything else that you need to know has already been posted.
