- HealerRN| 8 repliesI have received 2 calls from this number. They leave no messages. When I called back a machine voice answered "Hi this is Google Adware". It asked if I had an account number. I don't know what this has to do with but I'm assuming it is telemarketer/salesman type call.
- Caller: Google Adware
- Call type: Telemarketer
- TerryThe number is Google Adwords. They have called me from this number to advise me on updates to my ongoing Adwords campaigns.

- google do not call me replies to HealerRN| 3 repliesI pressed one so I could talk to a person and he was very rude to me and told me they were just one of a number of contracting companies who call for Google. I actually called the google number but no help there. Then I called the ads department hoping to get my number off the google list for advertising and the guy gave me the number for the do not call registry (supposedly) and it wasn't even valid. I guess I'll keep on getting google calls forever. I like google except for the incessant calls. You're afraid not to answer the phone because it might be a family member who needs you.
- ChrisThis is a legitimate Google phone number and the Google Contact Us page comes up if you try to search for it online. I submitted a help request though Google+ due to one of our business pages being disavowed on Google Maps and was actually surprised to get a call back from them the same day (I actually wasn't expecting anything but better to try and hope.)
Here is the Google Contact page that comes up: http://www.google.com/contact/ (It is strange that this number doesn't appear in the actual text of the page... but not too surprising, Google controls their own search engine after all)
I figured I better comment because it is a rare occasion that I leave a positive comment on 800notes :)- Caller: Google
- ChrisThis appears to be a legit Google number.
A competitor stole my Google places listing and put their phone number on it. Google called to say they were fixing it after I emailed a complaint (over the holidays).
Unfortunately, we get so many fake "google" callers that my secretary hung up on them.- Caller: Google
- CarlosThis was Google My Business. They were calling to help me reclaim a Google Places listing that had been squated on by one our past marketing people. Missed the call, but they said they'd call back.

- bagmanThis number is for Google Adwords.
- GateKeeperThis is the CB number for Google Support.
Our marketing department has been playing phone tag with them all day.- Caller: Google Support

- SASThis group is as bogus and are effectively extortionists. They suggest that they are associated with Google. Absolutely not.
People searching for technical support find themselves calling their posted number from an Internet search, thinking they are speaking with a Google representative.
They scam in many ways. For example. If you have a Google email issue as I did, and a very simple one at that, I found myself foolishly allowing them to take control of my computer. Again, I though I was speaking with a Google technician.
The person said all would be resolved in an hour or so. I left the office to have a beer with friends. I was uncomfortable to begin, but then it hit me that Google mail does not have a technical support service because it is a free service. By the time I got back to the office it was too late.
I turned off the computer immediately and went home. The next morning I got up, turned on the computer and found that I had serious problems. Passwords were changed and on and on. My gmail email didn't work. I tried to go to my Google account but could not access it.
I called Google customer service. They couldn't find my emails. I spent an hour or so with the customer service representative. We made progress, but I have a way to go yet.
When I say extortionist, their scam in my case as was to seriously foul up your computer during the time they have control . Then there is the next contact from them. Only if you pay them $150 or more do they say they will restore everything as it was. The problem is three-fold. 1. If you pay them, there is no assurance they can reverse all the changes they made. I don't think they can. 2. If you pay them, they can move on with your never hearing from them again. 3. You have to pay by credit card. Who would do that once discovering their corrupt ways? Crazy.
I called several times to confront the undesirables. Each time they hung up on me as a consequence of what I said which in each case challenged them based on the many falsehoods I identified. I am definitely not going to ask them for anything. I'll find a way to get everything back to normal on my computer.
What I am going to do is to haunt them until they can't scam enough money to continue their operations. I'm going to chase by way of law enforcement although putting the clamps on them will require complexity and time, but it can be done. Who knows where they are.
At the end of the day, their corrupt, dishonest ways will catch up with them. Maybe not in this lifetime. There is plenty of time for them to get their due.
I know I'm beginning to sound a little extreme, but I am more than a little disturbed. I can't afford losing time in my business to deal with con men.
Two final thoughts:
1. Anything positive that you read about their company of which there are many was written by them.
2. With the time I can allocate to achieving my objective I am going to take my best shot at destroying their hurting others. My time is limited, but not my persistence.
I hope I have helped others escape their web.
Happy Thanksgiving,

- Comfucious replies to google do not call meIf your relative needed you, wouldn't they leave a message?
- EWI called this number because I wanted to get my deceased husband's email account activated on Sat. 10-21-2017 about 6 pm EST. What a mistake. I was too naive and let him login my computer. He disabled my processes and wanted to sell me a Windows 7 Warranty at 3 different pkgs. I said I would have to think about it. His name was Shane. I will send Google his name. When I google for help it was at the top of the list as gmail help. On Sun. 10-22-2017 at 5 am EST, I pulled up the processes and reset them all to automatic or manual and clicked on Start and Restart and I got my computer up and running. Shane is supposed to call me on Mon. 10-23-2017 to sell me a pack of crap. LOL. I have caller ID and a message recorder where I state I get to decide to call back, delete the robo call or save the message. I rarely answer the phone because I get up early and take naps and the ringer is set to low. I plan to call the real Google company that states their hours and tell them what happened. It was my mistake but at least I remember how mobile radiology and me had to use computer radiography.

- Mai BJ replies to google do not call me| 1 replyFYI, you can turn off your availability for contact by Google AdWords or Marketing Solutions support through your Google settings. It isn't their fault that you don't want to talk to them and did not opt-out.
