Received 3 calls in one day stating they were going to freeze my bank accounts. Received another 2 yesterday stating that we had to contact them immediately or someone was going to come to our house. All messages had the same number 866-247-2405. One of the messages said "Your Name" instead of an actual persons name, how lame. I so want to tell them to come to my house so my husband can kick their ***.

Called me in Oregon, computer generated voice, claimed to be IRS, threatened to put lien on my assets w/i 24 hrs.

I wonder if the second number is real. The first one is not.

Same as the other post regarding the IRS.  I also live in AZ!

I just received a phone call from this number today stating they were IRS and would be freezing my assets and sending an officer to my house with paper work for unpaid taxes. When I tried to return the call it gave me options to choose and none worked and then it said "ext. 20344 user mail box full" and "error received."

Call from 866-247-2405 said they were from IRS and were going to freeze my assets, sounded like a broken recorded message.

This number has called me several times today saying they are the IRS

I too got the call, only it got good!  I live in CO, got the voice mail 3 times, so I finally answered the call the last time...guy with really thick accent said he was from IRS, told me to be quiet until he finished reading me my "rights", would not give me any info, just yelled at me and said the cops would be on their way to arrest me for defrauding the IRS.  He then hung up on me, so I got so upset that I called him back.  He answered, yelled at me some more and hung up again. Then I got a voice mail today from another number, which is based in El Cajon CA: 619-663-1668.  It was another deeply accented man saying something I could not quite make out, but that it had to do with legal action.  These people need to die....this is wrong!

I was told there was a lawsuit against me from the IRS. I told him that I hadn't received any mail from the IRS to that effect. He rattled off my address and said "I have your address how can you say that you didn't receive anything." That was my cue to hang up. WTF???

Left message on my answering machine.......Said was from the IRS..going to freeze assets ...........tried to call back .said person was busy & mailbox was full...Just like in Tracy Monteforte.......above............

Same thing as everyone has posted..had voicemail saying they are freezing my bank account and garnishing my wages. I called the number 866-247-2405 pakistain man said the police were on their way and would be at my home to arrest me and my wife within 30 minutes. then he hung up. These people are CRAZY and need to go straight to PRISON!!

I called the [***] back and they answered 5 times and complained I was harassing him.......BAHAHAHAHAHA stupid IRS scam

Ball automated message saying that 'my name' would have liens filed against all my possessions and bank accounts because of non-payment to the IRS. Said that a bill collection official would be by to collect...What a bunch of hooey. The second time they called I tried to speak to someone and the call disconnected, as it did when I tried to call them back. I report the call to www.tigta.gov. Hopefully these frauds will be brought to justice.

 I received a call at 1:00pm today stating that they were from the IRS and they were going to put a lien on my bank account and garnish my wages. They said they did an audit on my taxes for the past 4 years and I owed $2900 .  He said I had to pay it with in 45 mins or else the police would be coming to my house and arrest me for tax evasion.  I said really is this a joke and he got mad and said we were on a recorded line that could be used against me in court. OMG  I am so mad that these people are doing to this to innocent people. What creeps.... I filed a complaint with  www.tigta.gov  ....  They will get  there's one day. Shame on them!

I got 2 calls, same recording.  "IRS" going to begin legal action against  "your business"... blah blah.  

Keeps calling and saying they are from Windows and that they were notified I have malware and was hacked and they want access to my computer to fix it!
