Rang, left no message.  The caller ID characters are: MONITERING CTR .  I think it's safe to assume that someone running a real monitoring center would know how to spell "monitoring".  So this this is not only a presumed phone spammer/telemarketer, but a stupid one.

They called me and tried to sell the alarm system. Spammer.

This call is safe as it is "The Monitoring Center".  680 news has their announcement with that number on it. They monitor your home alarm system if you have it with them.

They left a vmail saying they are ‘the motioning center’, calling to verify the status of my system provided my address and asked for my passcode. On the one hand I was concerned for my home security due to recent thefts, on the other they didn’t sound like my security company. I returned the call and asked what company they were representing. He said ‘the monitoring center’ and I said ‘for what company’. He asked what was left on my vmail and my address. I said I’m not giving out my information and ended the call. Called people on location to see if there was some issue with our system. they said no. It’s a little disturbing. Seems like this is a thief who can remote into systems and disarm them Remotely before robbing.
