The incoming phone number shown on the caller ID was 877-896-0989, and the Wells Fargo bank rep said that "Call to 866-248-8389 for an important matter."

i got a phone call from 866 248 8389 and call back and sounds like wells fargo , but is not,they just want collect information. is totally fake.

Scam, scam, and more scam.  Interesting there are so reports attached to this number and the earliest is 7 years ago.

8662488389 called left a voicemail saying "this is Wells Fargo with an urgent business matter" and urging me to call back. Call was long past business hours for Wells Fargo (about 7:30pm) and obviously fake - I don't bank with Wells Fargo, I bank with Wells Fargo Private Bank and any rep would make that distinction very clearly, and would also identify their name in a voicemail...

Call on my cell phone wishing to speak to my wife...    When I identified myself as. her husband, they said they. would try. later..   Yes,    caller ID was 866-48----8389 and. woman's. voice. said they. were calling from Wells Fargo

Yes this number is always calling my cell number n I answered but I heard someone on other end making breathing sounds as it was very annoying then they hung up da phone as usual this number is always calling my cell every day of week during late hours after business hours to me I think it's a scam for me to answer of uses my voice to scam me

This number, along with at least two other toll free numbers, has been calling me several times a day for someone else. Every time I block the number, a different one begins calling me days later. This is a legit Wells Fargo credit collection number. I myself bank with WF, but have no credit accounts with them. They keep calling for someone named Mike and promise to remove my number, but they lie!

I got a letter in the mail that looks legit from Wells Fargo in the city i live in, stating the did a credit reporting update for my cc. I have NEVER had a Wells Fargo account ever. This phone # 1-866-248-8389 is on the letter to callthem.

Said wells fargo but called after 5.  I did not trust

Pretty sure it’s Wells Fargo owe them but have talked with them in past didnt leave a message .
