They have been calling me recently as well.  I do not have any unpaid debts.  Not sure why they keep calling, but I am getting pretty tired of it.

# has called several times over the past few days and leaves message for my ex mother-in-law. Message goes into detail about a past due payday loan. I wasn't aware that debt collectors could leave personal info on a voicemail. Especially a voicemail box that isn't a confirmed #. My ex and I have been divorced for 6 years. Sick of getting calls every few hours.

Got a call from this number. A very young sounding female voice answered. She asked for my son's name. I asked her what was it in relation to and she said that she could only talk to him. Here's the problem.... my son is 8 years old! I told her this and she said that she needed there must be a problem, she needed to speak to her supervisor & would call me back. I asked her what was it about, then she told me it had to do with something called "BMI Benefits"... huh?! Let's see if she calls back.

I put their number on my reject list In my cell phone so it goes straight to vm.I dont have any debts and

I just received a call from this number, a woman kept asking for me but wanted me to verify my date of birth. It was an unmarked number with a strange woman who wouldn't identify herself or the reason she was calling for. I informed her there was no way I would verify my personal information over the phone to someone who refuses to identify themselves or their company. She continuously rose her voice and insisted I need to verify my information before she could speak to me and that she would call later. I told her it didn't matter how many times she called I would not verify my information unless I knew who this was and what it was for. She got worse! I asked her to lower her voice because I was not being rude nor raising my voice. She continually said she was not raising her voice and hung up. No idea what "company" or phishing scam this call was about. The woman was rude and I will not be answering anymore.

Strange call. Asking to pay $200 for health insurance.

Very professional phone rep & a legitimate call. (Although this medical mishap was the fault of a property & THEIR ins carrier is responsible for the related bills!) I paid to preserve my reputation & will take other party 2 Small Claims Court if needed.

Have you used 911 Emergency Services? If so since you are retired and probably get disability they are attempting to get you to pay for "Physisians Services" that already been paid by the VA.

If you did not give them your cell number or authorize them to use it they have broken federal law and you can sue them. You can also require that they verify the debt. Even if you owe the debt you will get valuable info. Look up Verification Letter under the TILA.

Same story here although they were trying to get me to pay on a bill I've already paid. As a rule, with NO exceptions, I have never and will never pay a debt through a collection agency. If my debt that's legitimate, the people who rendered the service, in this case my doctor, happily accepts my payment. I refuse to financially support anybody who harassed me especially since a collection agency isn't who I contracted for a service. I went to the doctor therefore I owe the doctor. Not my fault that the agency decided to "buy" my bill. That's their problem. And I will do everything in my power to show them that I don't do business with them and I refuse to give them monetary commissions just because they think that they can hassel me into it.
The laws are very clear. If you pay the bill off with the doctor or business that you contracted with for the service then you don't owe a dime to anybody else. The debt is paid and continued harassment is illegal.

They are calling my TextFree established number, it doesn't let calls thru and as I don't owe anyone or give that number out as a contact they can keep trying.
