UPS called from a diff number (770)557-3001  but gave me this call back number offering discounts for our shipping

Got a call from 770-557-3001 too and the guy said he is from UPS, but leave this 866 number for me to call back. I called UPS main line to find out if this line is under their directory and UPS said no. I think this is a scam.

i called UPS and asked UPS to verify the call back number and the agent who called me. 866-252-1165 with a calling number of 770-537-3001

The UPS person I spoke with called the number and verified that this number belongs to the UPS agent in charge of my account. They were more than happy to verify. I get a lot of calls from telemarketing kooks and scammers, so I am very careful with my response to these kind of unsolicited calls. I always turn to 800-notes to get more info.

UPS told me to disregard the phone number that the guy left. 866-252-1165 x0471.  His name was Jimmy.  He spoke so fast I knew he was a telemarketer. Barely understood what he said.

THIS IS A SCAM- UPS CANNOT IDENTIFY THIS AS ANY NUMBER IN THEIR SYSTEM

Looks like there has been a major breach of UPS business accounts. Entire database compromised. Call UPS today to see how they can make this right! 1-800-742-5877

And twisted me to reply to 8662521165
I checked ups website and the number is not listed in any department of costumer services.
Thank you guys for the information, I almost believed him.

SCAMMER - DON'T EVEN bother calling the actual UPS Customer Service from the Website - beyond the automated cycle system that refuses to give you to an agent - the agent does not do anything - would not verify the number - told me to call authorities - so in essence - the company does not give a dam* about if you receive a spoofed call or not - you are on your own - BEWARE - Report  the Unwanted calls to FCC and DO NOT CALL LIST.

 Bogus. Number given to call back is different from the number on caller ID (shows US Government). This caller is B.S. Claims he is from UPS wanting to open an account. I have an account with UPS, so why is he calling me and why is he using a government phone number?

This UPS caller left a message about a package.  Then, the Social Security Administration called all day about this package.  It was from a familiar number, they have been calling for 2.5 years now.  I have call silencing now, plus half of their numbers programmed into my phone that they bypass the block on.  Caught you!
