Received call from 866-259-5318 looking for ex-relative. Probably a debt collector

Called asking for me, claiming I was listed as a reference for possibly an old friend (maybe she just pronounced the last name wrong) and asked that I have them call her.  Did not state where she was calling from so I assume it was a bill collector.

I did not call them back on January 9 so they just called me three times in a row and left two messages.  One for someone other than me and one for me.  Both times said I listed as a reference for someone.  Go away you annoying people!

The number is a bill collector. Apparently they do collections for a number of companies. Someone you know put you down for a reference. My name was put down by a girl I used to work with. They call me a couple times a year. Every time they do it's because she's late on her car payment

I have to admit my payment is a few days late, but do they have to call 5x a day ? From all different numbers? I'll pay when I pay, it won't go over 30 days. I'm bad I know, but hard to keep up

I received a voice message saying that my Sister had used me as a reference.  They didn't identify themselves on the call.  Thanks everyone for posting this so I don't have to bother calling them back.

Received a message saying my friend leroy rodgers was in the hospital, I DON'T KNOW A LEROY ROGERS ...asked my husband if i was there i needed to pick him up . WTF UMMMM OK> i went to donotcall.gov and registered my phone too try and stop the BS calls. However a whistle blown loaded in the phone tends to stop the calls also a blow horn works wonders.

This Regional Acceptance is the WORST place to ever have to deal with!! They call my cell at least 6+ times a day!!! I can't wait for this car loan to be paid off in December 2015. I WILL NEVER WORK WITH THESE PPL AGAIN. THEY ARE VERY HARASSING AND ANNOYING. NO REASON TO CALL SOMEONE THAT MANY TIMES. I PAY IT WHEN I HAVE IT!!!

I got a call on my cell # and they did not leave a message. I don't call back numbers that dont leave messages. I dont want them calling me
