Caller is CreditCO a credit tracking company.

Caller advised she was checking on our credit report. Just so happens we are refinancing.  Then she gave us old information....that's when we knew it was a scam.

Did you give them your personal info...like social security number, address?

Returned Call... Indian woman took call not Southern Accent as above comment.

First story was employment verification relating to financing (I am buying a home) then later it was about credit as if TransUnion, Experion, or Equifax is not good enough to verify account history.

Seems phishy to me.  Cropped up after requested Insurance quotes previous day.  She could not reverse lookup my record by telephone number...

Got the call this evening (20 mins back). No one left the message. But when called back, the message said their office is currently closed.

From the automated message, the company name is CoreLogic Credco. I did some google'ing and found their website to this: http://www.credco.com/

Doesn't look fishy but I don't know why I got the call though. It is so stupid & appears fishy when people from trusted company's don't leave a message particularly when you are no way related to what they do and also not expecting a call from them.

Hope the info helps others or the company itself. I will post back if I get the call again and know what it is for.

I got an email from one of my mortgage companies asking me to complete a survey regarding the call I placed 2 days ago.  I never called, so I called the mortgage company to let them know & they gave me this number as the one to call into their automated system. I'm not in the middle of any credit issue or refi or anything.  Kind of fishy.  Luckily, they couldn't get any info.

Called and left a reference number and said this was about a Logix loan.  I'm in the middle of closing on a home.  When I called this person back they couldnt tell me what it was about.   I think its a scam

Corelogic is a third party verification company. When you apply for a loan, a new credit card, student loan, purchase of a car, bankruptcy, etc. that company tells Corelogic to verify the applicant's credit report. So their job is to update it and send it back to the company and the company will determine with the info. if you are elligible or not.

Got a number and they left a voicemail -- call was definitely outsourced; they called from "Corelogic CredCo" to update "your current report" -- they wanted to perform a conference call with some finance company "in order to update your account" -- they left a reference number.

I'm currently in the process of a re-fi, but dont understand why they would need/want this, because they've already ran credit with the big 3.

I got exact same call with call id = 858-375-7283 asking me to call at 1866 number - wrt refi and conf call. When I tried to call 858-375-7283, the msg I got was " this number does not exist"

My wife got the same number except it was 800 not 858

Received a voicemail from a guy with a heavy Indian accent who said he was from Corelogic and he needed to conduct a conference call to dispute an inquiry on my credit report from Amazon.  I am going through a refit, but this just didn't sound right.  I didn't call him back.

it was a unclear voice message. caller name unclear. key words were core logic. american honda. finance, mortgage, clear up questions. left a case number and left this phone number to call back. sounded sketchy. so i googled this number and found this site to report. we are in the process of buying a home. wow. they don't waste time to scam you. good thing we did not return the call. block this number from your phones.
i don't believe a legitimate company involved in a mortgage or refi would call like this.

got a call from +91 376 did not answer on purpose, they left a message same as above wanted to do a conference call with some of my lenders, I am buying a home. did not return the call. I will wait for my lender to ask me if I need to do anything else.

This is a legit company.  I am in the middle of purchasing a home without credit.  They conference call companies you pay monthly like your phone, cable, electric, etc. to verify you pay your bills on time (so you can get your loan approved).  I agree their accents are hard to understand but they aren't a bogus company.

Same call (0636!), same mssg. Seemed hispanic. Obviously reading a note. Typical phone room worker. I just closed on a new home, so these guys are using a phone list from that source. Probably not a scam, per se, just something I don't want or need..
