This number belongs to "Mercy Home" in Chicago.

I donated years ago and constantly get calls. I finally answered and told the gentleman to remove me from the calling list. He was very rude. Today I received another call from them. *sigh*

I called the number back and removed myself that way.

Received a call today at 1:16 pm. Rang once, I picked up and they hung up. Didn't give them time to let my machine pick up since I was right at my desk and I'm getting REALLY tired of all these unknown hang up calls each and every day, several times a day. If they are supposed to be taking polls or fundraising, they aren't doing their jobs if they hang up as soon as I answer!! Dummies.--Oct 15, 2010

I called this number back and John is right, it is the Mercy Home for Boys. I also heard a taped message prompting me to press "1" to have the number removed, which I did.

I think I'll try "google-ing" the name Mercy Home for Boys and try to get a human response. They should know that their 'phone crew aren't doing thier jobs properly and annoying people instead of getting funds.

Caller claims to be from "MERCY HOME."  There is a Mercy Home for Boys & Girls in Chicago, Illinois, but I cannot confirm that this call is really from them.  

I told the woman that this is now the second time that we have asked to be put on their do not call list.  She read an apology script.  If they call back again, I will report them to the FTC.

This number I had ignored FOUR times; each call leaving NO message.  I answered the 5th call and the guy asked for "Katrina".  Told him nobody lives here by that name and that they've called here a lot already.

Then today, number calls AGAIN.  This time I was very annoyed ... told him that "you've already called here many times and there's NO Katrina here."  Also told him we have had this number for 25 years - which is true.

Called my 90yr old Mother at 10am. I picked up Specifically to request to be put on their DO NOT CALL LIST. After 15 Full Seconds of Dead Air, a recording said something about 'Please hold ... a representative from Mercy Home for (boys?) will be with you shortly'. When the overly professional (aka: Fake) sounding guy came on the phone, mangling my Mother's name, I asked to be taken off their list. He Hung Up Immediately. No abiltiy to confirm or reassure it won't happen again.
This is 100% Predatory. Do Not Pick-Up!!

The caller left a message acting like it was a call-back, but it wasn't. I was busy and didn't answer. Annoying!

Received a call " toll free call from 855-600-6063 ". message said to call 866-280-6854 .Checked this number. Supposedly it is a call form Mercy Homes. Get at least 6 letters a week requesting money from this same agency. Did give in the past but now getting annoying & question this so called charity.
