    Windows defender virus alert after clicking link on website.   Loud recording telling you to call this toll free number to have Microsoft technicians help you remove virus.  Called,   person would not send any email  or any other method to confirm who they are..  hung up.

    1.They ask me to connect with my computer to fix it (it mean take control of my computer). They ask me to type the Windows key+R to type '' www.anydesk.com '' and enter. NEVER DO THAT.

    They kept assuring me that they were Microsoft Support.  I should not have let them access my computer, but I did and began to suspect them, especially when they wanted to charge me $499 for a fix.  I turned my computer off.  No malware detected.
