a Bill called from Commercial Lighting at ext. 227 said one of my employees was there to pick up some bulbs and needed a PO for $410.10. I told him I would call him back and when I did I told him our employee was not at his place and did not orderr any bulbs because he didn't have authority to do so. Bill replied he didn't understand because they were ordered I simply told him he should be ashamed trying to take advantage of people

Commercial Lighting Company. They are trying to ship you light bulbs that you didn't order and charge you 4 or 5 times what you can buy them for at Home Depot or somewhere like that. The lady told me she wanted to mail a catalog, but wanted to talk to the person who orders the lights first. I told her to just mail the catalog, but she said she couldn't do that without talking to someone first.

Got a message routed to my voice mail.  Acted like he knew me as a friend.  Even called me "buddy" and "Hey, man!"  Stated his name was Al Hightower from some chemical company.  Didn't say want he wanted but from the "good time/bar sounds" in the background, I can't imagine it is legit.  Oh, I was to call him back at a different number - 866.285.4448 x206.  "Thanks man!"

Sounds like a person making a legit living by making sales...without speaking to someone who is authorized to make sales the sale will not be made..therefor if people can simply say NO NOT INTERESTED..then no one would be shipped products they did not want or agree to

Really? That's funny, it sounds like a scammer to everyone else. Sounds like you "work" there. What's the matter, are sites like this making it difficult to TRICK your potential victims on the phone?

Can't get a real job can you LOL

Had a guy call me a couple of days ago saying he was with Commercial Lighting and asked to speak to our maintenance guy.  He talked like he was his friend.  I asked who it was and what it was regarding and he just said "He knows who I am.  Just get him on the phone."  I told him he was busy so then he asked for his number.  I told him I would take down his information and have our maintenance guy call him as soon as he is available.  He then became very defensive and said "Aren't you a secretary?!"  I replied by saying "No sir, I'm a Leasing Agent."  So he says "Wow, that sounds like a really important job.  How do I become a leasing agent?"  LOL, I just told him he was an idiot and hung up on him.  What a scumbag!!!

Sounds like the same dirt bags from a place called "United Distributors" 877-712-2140.  This jerk called and was rude as hell to my receptionist- "had to talk to me or he couldn't deliver my order".  There was no order- he starts talking to me like he is my buddy... gift cards, free bulbs... blah blah blah.

Now "Marty" from this place calls and makes it sound like he knows me.  Same deal- probably the same [***].

I love these posts on here from "Megan" and "Veronica"- they are part of the scam.

received a call from Tina today.  She was happy to send me a 48 ice chest, personal cooler, and something else with her catalog.  866-285-4448 x 216.  There was music in the background and it sounded like a call center.

I introduced myself as Michael and she kept calling me Mike (I go by Michael professionally).  I corrected her and she still used Mike.  I then called he Ti, which she corrected me but still slipped up and called me Mike.

I asked if she was on the State of Texas' contract system.  She said she could sell in Texas as they were nation-wide.  I am sure she did not know.

She said she would send the cooler to my home address - I said no dice - then a work address.  Sure send it.  In the fast talking she said it would arrive UPS and she was putting in an order for bulbs to go along with it.  I stopped her, saying that I was not ordering anything and for her to have a nice day.

I couldn't understand why. then wanted me to buy bulbs that we actually use, so i was a bit more confused and simply told him i would see what we need and call him back.....BOGUS!

Continue getting calls asking to speak to the person "in charge of maintenance".  This is the first time I was able to get them to leave a message.  "Ruben the lighting guy".  HA.  I enjoy their attempts to get me to give them a name.  They're always "Hey, uhh, the guy in charge of maintenance, I've got his name here somewhere but I cant find it...Mike maybe?" nope, sorry, no Mike.  It's always something new.  They want a name so they can attach it to a bill and say they approved the order.
866-285-4448 Ruben the lighting guy with Commercial Lighting.  Noooo thanks!

"Sean" from Commerical Lighting called asking to speak with my boss today. Very friendly, not rude at all, however, instead of lightbulbs, he told me that he had warranty information that we wanted to UPS to us from products that we purchased. I put him on hold, and he was gone by the time I came back. This company has shipped us unauthorized bulbs to the tune of $700 before - it was a fight to get them picked up and credited.

David Mitchell -  same story as all of the above....  called and wanted to send me a picnic basket with place settings for 4 including wine glasses.  I asked why he wanted to send me something, he said they are just sending a gift with their latest catalog.  He wanted to know if I wanted pink or blue.  I told him it didn't matter.  I knew this was a scam, like the others he tried to act like we had spoken before or like I had ordered from them.  He said I would also be receiving fluorescent bulbs to which I told him I do not need any.  He said he would do me a favor and talk to the shipping guy and have them send me a small box of 15.  I told him No, I don't need them.  He said how about some trash bags?  I told him no, my maintenance person takes care of those.  Then he said he would send me a box of incandescents.  Again, told him I was not interested.  he gave me his number and ext. 228 so I could call him to place an order.
Amazing it has been going on this long.
