This is supposed to be Pink Nation (which is Victoria's Secret). They wrote a check on our bank account that we never use. This is some fraudulent number on the check image I got online - BEWARE. The check address also had my name on it with an unknown address to 9254 S. Prairie Ave, Chicago IL 60619.

Same thing happened to me.  I got a copy of the E-Check that went through my bank, it had my name with an address in New York, my account number and pay to the order of Pink Nation.  It also had a Customer Service Number of 866-285-4719.  I called the number on 12/3/10. a gal told me they were just the servicing center and that my account would be refunded within 7-10 business days.  It wasn't.  Now the customer service number is disconnected.  How did they get my account number?

Supposedly this is a number from Wynn & Associates who have approved me for a loan.  But it sounds fishy to me.

Thank you Gunnar.  I was going to get a loan from them but after looking around for further information about them & seeing that they are a scam I'm thinking twice.  My security is more important.

    You're welcome Jane.
Take my advice. Stay away from on-line and pay day loans at all costs. They are nothing more than a racket that should have been federally outlawed long ago. If you're in need of financial assistance, keep it local. Even a pawn shop is a far better option than having anything to do with frauds and scammers who've been allowed to exist solely because of a powerful lobby and the unscrupulous politicians that cater to them.
If you have been online looking for a loan, be prepared. It is a 100% likelihood that you will soon be targeted by frauds. Some people believe that loan sites are being hacked. Don't believe it! The info. that you provide to online lenders is bought, sold and traded like any commodity. It's an unspoken source of income to almost all online lenders. Even going to a local PDL or check cashing joint is going to put your info. available to the highest bidder. What goes in their computer, is spit out to whoever has the cash. The only confidentiality that an online lender wants to maintain is his own.
Good luck with solving your financial problem Jane, but please....

I also got a call from this company, they stated that they had found me a lender for a large loan I'd applied for online.  They told me that they could not provide an unsecured loan so I had 3 options.  Either 1, secure the loan with a home I own (I don't) or a car under 2 years old which I own free and clear (I don't have one), 2, pre-pay 3 months' worth of payments, or 3, buy an insurance policy which would cost about the same amount as the 3 months' worth of payments.  I desperately need a loan but this just sounded too shady to me so I told them I was not interested in doing that.

Josh- Just wanted to reply to your post because I also have received a call from Wynn & Associates from 1-866-285-4719 and it was from a Angela Smith. She is claiming that I have been approved for a $10,000 loan with a interest rate of 11% for 4 years and my payments would be $258.00 a month. I like you are in desperate need of a loan to get rid of this super super high interest loan that I received back in february from Cash Call for $5000 and trust me you do not want them either they should be outlawed as a company but at the time I needed the money and have paid a bunch of stuff off but now I cant afford to pay them. Anyways I just got off the phone with that Angela Smith and she mentioned the same thing to me I could pay 3 months payments up front for $775.00 or the insurance for $750.00 and also I could use my car or if I had a home for collateral but the only way I could use my car is if it was a 2011 or newer. Well my car is a 2010 ford escape so that excluded that. This Angela Smith said she can extend this offer for 3 weeks but that is all. Well trust me that kind of money is pretty much my whole paycheck so it will not be happening. I think we need to make somebody aware of what they are offering and shut this place along with all the other scam artists down. I realize having bad credit is my fault but at the same time I am trying to correct my credit and clean up my credit report and stay on top of all my other bills. I just want to cry where can somebody who has a credit score of 611 go to get a actual legit loan without having the fear of being scammed.

I also got into a fight with a representive from cash call because I am late on my payment I was off work for almost 4 weeks because of surgery and I called them and told them I could not make the payment till I went back to work well now they are telling me or asking me how did you survive for 4 weeks without a income and what did you do with the money we loaned you? Really it's not there business and I know I owe you the fing money and they will get paid she also mentioned about maybe I could pawn my personal possesions wth is that all about I told her no and I understand she has a job to do but I am not pawning anything for them. Ugggggghhhhhh sorry I will stop just really upset right now and do not know what I am going to do. I wish you the best of luck and hope we both can find legit loan companies to help us. Take care, Cheryl

If someone offers you a loan over the phone and are required to pay upfront for it, they are breaking federal law.
    It is a scam:

    http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0078-advance-fee-loans

"A loan that is offered by phone. It is illegal for companies doing business by phone in the U.S. to promise you a loan or credit card and ask you to pay for it before they deliver."

I have currently been in contact with this company for a loan of about $8,000.00. Something has been telling me to keep checking to see if I can get any legitimate feedback. I went to the website and it doesn't seem like it has enough information and it doesn't seem to make it easy enough to connect online or by phone. With the company being out of the USA (wether or not it's within American territory) it seems highly suspicious. I haven't given up anything yet (money, collateral, or put up my car--a 2012). Is there anyone who has actually applied for a loan and received one from this company? Or is the fine print obvious? "If you have to pay upfront for a loan then it is a scam (most of the time, or always?). Please reply & advise

If you have payday loans like
Cash Call that I also have a loan with them and they also told me that they're going to send somebody to my work to collect the debt. I contact a financial group who works with this kind of lenders who abuse us with high interests.  You can call them if you want to check if it works for you.  Their name is Payless Financial Group and their customer service number is 1-727-241-9917.  I hope it works for you, they're working with my situation with payday loans and cash call.
    Good luck
