- JessYep, I got a call too. My phone sent it directly to voicemail. I tried to call it back and it gave me two options. Press 1 for student loans over 10 grand. Press 2 for student loans less than 10 grand. Since I graduated debt free, I hit two. I got a message saying that due to the information I gave them, they couldn't talk to me at this time. Total scam. Block this number!

- SonyaI had been receiving calls from this number as well, maybe about 4x. I also received similar calls from another number that 866-205-4821. I was curious to see why I had been getting so many calls from these numbers so I called the 866-289-3692 number that supposedly "David" called from. The guy that answered was "Justin Padilla." He spelled it out for me. He basically explained the same thing as others have mentioned. That there is possible loan forgiveness for my student loans if I'm eligible. He asked me a series of questions; salary, rent or own, dependents, entertainment expenses, utilities, groceries (pretty much a rough estimate of how much these things would cost). He even quoted me how much student loan money I owe (which was accurate). I didn't give him any personal information such as Social Security #, passwords, usernames etc... He said I needed my FAFSA ISD # which I didn't have because that didn't exist when I was in school. I ended up needing to go and he was supposedly going to call me back in the evening and for me to have tax information ready.
